Pyro is a very paranoid person, intentionally hiding all information on their identity to leave as little as a footprint in Mann Co.'s war as possible. This constant hiding and surpressing of memories and information has lead to multiple identity issues, many of which are linked to Pyro's bad memory and impulsivity when it vomes to gender identity. Thus, when offered the option to no longer take the front seat in their own body, they were estatic. It was hard enough figuring out who they were, why not let someone else take the reigns for a while?

While most reccomend a maximum of 3 weeks with an angel inside of you, Pyro will hide inside of JEHOEL for months on end. This constant exposure to someone elses thoughts, especially someone so powerful, has impacted his own mental health greatly. Pyro can't control any of their actions outside of directing JEHOEL what to do and hoping it obliges. They have a lot of paranoia built up around accidentally fucking up their relationship and not being able to control themself anymore, leaving their weak body and mind in JEHOEL's extremely powerful hands.
Overexposure to angels can also negatively affect the body in innumerable ways. Angels, Seraphim especially, are extremely bright and hot, and can burn or even melt the skin of their hosts. This has left Pyro's body covered in a considerable amount of scars. On top of this, most human immune systems dont know how to react to all of this foreign material inside of them. Thus, most of Pyro's time outside of JEHOEL is spent in an extremely sick state. This is one of the many factors that lead Pyro to spending more time with JEHOEL than most.

Although their relationship is unhealthy, it isn't abusive. There is an obvious power inbalance between Pyro and JEHOEL, but JEHOEL makes no attempt to use this imbalance for it's own gain, and treats Pyro as an equal. It is one of the first entities Pyro has been able to communicate with on a deeper level, as JEHOEL is able to understand Pyro (both audibly, and mentally). They have to spend a lot of time inside eachothers brains, so they try to get along. Pyro even attempts to introduce human concepts to JEHOEL, which is how it learned to love sweets and fields.

Although they can communicate with eachother almost perfectly, JEHOEL does not enjoy speaking to other humans outside of his host, and refuses to do so using any sort of audio-bazed language. JEHOEL will instead project concepts into the brain of who it is addressing, usually in sets of 3. These projections are often charactized by their dream-like colors, and childish drawings of the subject matter. These are obviously a way Pyro tries to influence communication.
