Harvey is a proper greaser through and through; he's rude and difficult to get along with, and is almost always seen to be in a bad mood. Usually, it's just him putting on the dramatics, but he has a shitty personality in general and doesn't care enough to change his attitude. Those closest to him know him for his dry humor, blunt exterior, and bad temper, but he's loyal to a fault and his weak spot is pretty boys. He's good at what he does for a living and he knows it, and so he can easily come across as arrogant or narcisistic. Somehow, he has the tendency to attract vibrant rays of sunshine as close friends and partners, and no one's really sure how he does it, because he's such a dick on the daily.

Splintercats

Thought to be legend, splintercats are large mythical cats of great ferocity that belong to North American folklore. Thought to explain away large wind storms that level forests or chip away the bark on trees, they're nocturnal felines that are exceptionally quick on their feet, with notably hard heads. Supposedly, these big cats feed on small animals that live in trees, and have a soft spot for honey. They're known for ramming tree trunks with their hard heads until prey falls down for them to eat, or to get honey from beehives. Because of this, they're known to have notoriously bad attitudes because of constant headaches.

Physically, these cats are large, with big spines on their backs not unlike hedgehogs.

Life

Harvey opened up his hair salon as soon as he could, and business has been booming. He's incredibly good at what he does, and he knows it. The salon is well-known among monsters and Harvey only employs monsters like himself, but they serve humans too, despite the fact that humans have no clue about the supernatural. He shares a small apartment with his boyfriend and is usually found around humans with some sort of hat on and a smug smirk to match. Among other monsters, he prefers to let his unusually large ears and tail free; he's very proud of them and how nice they look. Splintercats are known for being feisty and rude, and so they commonly have scars or nicks in their ears from brawls with other splintercats. Harvey, on the other hand, takes great care of his appearance, and would probably die if his ears got fucked up in a fight.

Magdalene

Magdalene is Harvey's boyfriend; he's a human who runs his own art studio. They met when Magdalene came into his shop and essentially told Harvey that he could experiment and do anything he wanted with his long hair, as long as Magdalene didn't have to pay for the haircuts. His hair is incredibly long and very expensive when it's time to cut or dye it, and Harvey loves experimenting with new hairstyles and colors, so it was a win for both of them that blossomed from there.

Nate

Nate and Harvey are best friends who originally bonded over juicy gossip. Nate is a light witch who loves partying; he's much nicer than Harvey, but their personalities contrast nicely against each other's. They're quite close.

Ballou

Ballou is one of Harvey's employees and personal student; he's another splintercat, much younger and with a much better attitude, and though Harvey would never admit it, he's grown quite fond of his protoge.
