Makiko

Makiko is a kind woman who owns a local tea shop in Forestville. Tea is her passion and she sells many different flavours, including some more unique ones. She comes from Japan but moved here quite some time ago. She is able to speak both Japanese and English extremely well. She still follows her traditons and culture and wants to teach others about it as well. She's not all that old but doesn't like to reveal her age, for reasons unknown. Instead, she says she's in her twenties although that's probably not the case. Above everything else, she's very sweet and welcoming. She likes striking up conversation with those that visit her shop. She spoils those that are younger than her, especially children, by giving them homemade Japanese sweets. She also gives advice from time to time, having many life experiences to go off of. She is also a bookworm and her store is decorated with bookshelves showing off her collection.

Years ago when she was a teenager, Makiko was a yankii (Japanese delinquent). It's hard to imagine now but back then she was a tough and rebellious fighter. Eventually, her eyes were opened and she wanted to change her ways and be a normal teenage girl. The other girl gangs did not like this and continued to chase after her. Moving schools did not help and wanting to escape her past, she fled the country. In Forestville, she keeps her past a secret and doesn't have any plans to tell anyone. However she is still fairly strong and it comes off as a shock to others. Nowadays, she comes off as the embodiment of a Japanese beauty.
