Prince but not heir of the Country in Midnight Stellana Fairycross wakes up in a cart with a bunch of Aryan Adonises, and no clue of how he got there… And he’s undergone a few changes as well - apparently he’s an “elf”, and his hair has turned black.

Now he has to pretend to have been part of this strange world his whole life, lest he’s discovered as an even ‘outer’ outlander than he already is thought to be. Everyone here is either Sunblessed (working term for Nazis in w@tchtower) or just a plain old asshole, and “Nanarin” struggles to hold back his revulsion towards the people of Skyrim. What fatherland is there to secure here, in this world where no one seems to truly care for one another? “Our hopes and our dreams”? Don’t make me laugh. Nana knows you don’t have any of those outside of oppressing or killing anyone you deem ‘different’ enough from you, Nord scum.

… He must be polite, though. That’s the only way to blend in with these people - if you’ve got to be different, you might as well be different and patient. Different and uncomplaining. Different and kind.

Nana is so desperate, in fact, to meet another person in Skyrim who has any kind of moral character, or any kind of earnestness left in them after this world has beaten it out of them, that when he runs into a certain jester pulling around the corpse of his ‘mother’ on a wagon, raving madly and laughing to himself and Nana, he falls almost instantly in love. He… Figures this is just a mistake. Things like this happen sometimes. Sometimes you imagine someone taking your last name, and you imagine sharing your life with them, but you know that — just because you ran into them out there in the world, it doesn’t make this fantasizing any more likely to come true than any… Other. Fantasizing.

After a traumatic kidnapping incident in which Nana was forced to kill another person to survive, a list of events carry out that lead to the eventual realization that he can hear the whispers of a dead goddess. So he is chosen as the “Listener.”

… Something, everything is wrong.

(He can hear her for currently defined reasons he doesn’t quite understand yet. Specifically, he was pulled to this world as a fledgling Daedrus by Meridia, who is frankly sick of this crapsack world)
