Was the daughter of his deceased brother and the previous head of the entirely female House of Tomo. While 'Aergia' was still a young boy, his older brother married the head of the Tomo House who would eventually become Homura's mother. Though 'Aergia' and his brother did not really get along, living with his brother became more comfortable, and 'Aergia' would visit him often. At one point, 'Aergia' found his brother receiving a hairpin from Homura's mother and noted that he has mellowed out in his old age, only to be informed that this was the kindness of Homura's mother at work. Before his brother's death, he was entrusted with hairpins that formerly belonged to Homura's mother. After his brother died, 'Aergia' was entrusted with the heirloom of the Tomo family by his brother's widow. 'Aergia' was assured by Homura's mother that he would not suffer from carrying the heirloom and that he was the only one outside of her own family whom she could trust. At some point during Homura's younger days, 'Aergia' was informed that Homura's mother had been executed, which prompted him to admit that he preferred to learn of such things sooner rather than later. Decided to keep Homura's mother's favorite kimono and holds an emotional attachment to it. After everything, distantly kept notes of Homura's life and did not interfere. Upon her graduation, however, showed up to congratulate her and since then has kept himself in her life. Nearly died one day, but as 'Aergia' closed his eyes, Homura wakes him up begging him to let her take her heirloom and to disregard the promise he made to her mother. After confirming that Homura knows about her mother, decided to return the heirloom to her. 'Aergia' goes on to explain that the Tomo family was always comprised exclusively of women and that all the men who married into the family were killed by a curse, which Homura's mother intended to avert by cutting off ties with her family after marrying, only for her husband to die shortly afterward. Revealing that this man was his brother, 'Aergia' admits that he had never been on good terms with his brother before stating that living with him became much more comfortable after he married Homura's mother. He goes on to explain how Homura's mother had to return to her family, but not before entrusting the heirloom to him, which she believed was the source of the curse. When Homura revealed that she has decided to accept the curse and that the one she loves will find it ridiculous as well, 'Aergia' smiled and gave it to her. As Homura saves his life, 'Aergia' expressed how he always blamed himself for the misfortune of those around him and for the burden placed upon him by his loved ones. | Niece. Daughter-figure. Pride. Love. Trusted. Adored.
As a young girl, she overheard her mother entrusting the House's heirloom to 'Aergia'. After her mother died, Homura was taken in by an elderly couple who were relatives of her family and entered an Academy, where she excelled in incantations despite being unable to imprint on her soul. During her tenure at the Academy, Homura saw 'Aergia' visiting the headmaster and recognized his hairpins and kimono being identical to those belonging to her mother. Upon graduating, Homura was surprised to see 'Aergia' again, where she noticed that he had changed his kimono and removed his hairpins; this allowed her to recognize him as the man whom her mother entrusted something precious to. Soon afterward, Homura finds 'Aergia' heavily injured and closing his eyes, prompting her to wake him up and beg him to let her take her heirloom despite the promise he made to her mother. Initially unaware of their relationship but after 'Aergia' explaining the history of the Tomo family and its curse tied to their inherited heirloom, reveals that he is her uncle and that Homura's mother, his sister-in-law, entrusted the heirloom to him. She understands he did not want to give the heirloom back to her before revealing she has accepted the curse. Believes the person she decides to love would also believe the curse is ridiculous. Obtaining the heirloom enabled her to imprint on her soul which strengthened her magic and allowed her to use incantations she couldn't reach before. Was able to save 'Aergia' because of this. | Paternal Uncle. Trusted. Respected. Love.
Drawn to. A face he's pleased to see. Getting to know.
Chill, stress-free catman. Good company.
Ronra's partner. Drawn to. Similar to her partner in ways but that doesn't discredit her own uniqueness which he appreciates and relishes in. Honestly probably one of his favorite relations- including Ronra. Openly expresses what she means to him with no hesitation. One of the very few he feels genuinely close to and has come to love dearly. Haunted by the thought of past misfortunes resurfacing. Ready to blame himself if anything happens to the feline and her family. Just as ready to do everything in his power to prevent such misfortunes.
Doesn't know what to make of the cat's genial manner, but has come to greatly value it. Would deny, in an instant, the amount of groundedness and stability he brings her, but is extremely protective over him and the amount of gratification his acknowledgement has brought her, so far. Often feels tense around, due only to a sense of foreboding and worry due to the importance he's come to take in her life.
