Physique resembles a blend between tiger and smilodon. Large and heavy, covered in layers of thick fur that both retains and protects from heat during seasonal weather changes. Bears many scars, most of which are hidden by fur. Built to withstand harsh conditions, but is not immune to consequences of prolonged exposure to extreme elements.

Sturdy and strong, possesses brute strength and great amounts of endurance, is hard to knock out of balance. Has a jaw gape of 120 degrees which is necessary if he wants to use his elongated canines. Despite how neat the canines may seem, they're rather fragile and are used for precise killing only. In most cases, Hector will rather use his massive paws which, combined with a set of fine, sharp claws, can inflict severe damage and cause a lot of bleeding. In addition, claws allow him to grapple onto larger enemies and position himself where he could be hardly reached (on their back, for example). Should a good opportunity arise, he may attempt to ground his opponent and then use his canines for a fatal bite (snap neck or other vital body part) if a kill is what he's going for.

Though fast, his hefty build takes away some of his ability to maneuver quickly and dodge, making him vulnerable to quick attacks. Because of this, prefers to face his opponents head-on and is most capable in 'wrestling'.

Heart

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

A being of pride, confident in himself and his own abilities. However, never looks down on anyone and treats each individual with respect and a welcoming attitude. Easy-going and unbiased, unless given reason to be otherwise.

A hardy exterior encompasses a soft and loving heart. Surprisingly selfless, gives rather than takes and the well being of others is often put forth before his own. Very quick to protect loved ones and strangers alike in unjust situations.

Maintains his feelings and emotions under very good control and is even better at keeping them hidden. Retains an outward calmness that may make it seem as though he doesn't care, but that's almost never the case. Driven by rational thinking and hardly allows any feelings to impact his judgement and/or decisions in most situations. Is, in fact, a big softie.

Driven by a sense of leadership and purpose, diligent and persistent in achieving his goals. Seeks to be of use to others, is hard working, self-reliant and always helpful should anyone reach out to him, but rarely seeks the help of others himself.

Can be very hard on himself when faced with failure. Holds himself up to high standards, while the opposite is true for anybody else. Expects very little from others and easily forgives most mistakes. Non-judgemental.

Prefers to express himself through actions rather than words.

In spite of his usually reserved demeanor, proves to have a very playful and goofy side to him as well. Enjoys pranks and other sorts of lighthearted mischief, so long as it doesn't cause harm onto others.

Physical affections and intimacy do not equal romance. Craves closeness with friends and family alike, but is able to draw a defined line between platonic and romantic relationships. That being said, remains respectful and sometimes even overly mindful of other's personal space. Never crosses bounds and is perfectly capable of being devoted to a single individual.

Very patient and difficult to rile up, laid back. Cautious when need be, benign unless heavily provoked. Takes serious setiuations seriously, but prefers finding peaceful solutions instead of resolving to harm. A fierce and brutal fighter, but finds no thrill in violence nor joy in killing. Merciful and relenting unless given no choice or driven to a point where he no longer desires to spare someone. Fails to hold onto grudges or resentment, though doesn't forget.

Adores children. Very patient in general, but even more so when dealing with children. Enjoys their antics and being a part of them, but is strict when it comes to discipline. Shows more judgement towards the young, though only out of good will. Despite lacking parental care throughout most of his life, often tries to provide it to the young that need it and possesses strong paternal instincts.

Trivia

SHORT STORY TIME. Born feral with the ability to shapeshift passed down from his ancestors. Began practicing it at a young age and took upon a human form that eventually led him to discover an entirely different world and way of life than what he was used to as a wild beast. With each shift into a human being he became more alike with the specie, gained and continued forming a mindset and mannerisms that in time made Hector hardly distinguishable from being anything other but human. Remains in tune with and shifts back into his original form where the magic allows him, but otherwise equally enjoys his life as a human being and would not consider himself any different from them.

Doesn't recall having parents and has raised himself from a very young age into the man he is today.

In spite of his often lazy demeanor, frequently travels between two locations (besides the Forest) that he considers his home. Occupies himself with certain duties and work in each location. Usually busy and hard working, enjoys it.

An experienced and avid hunter, prefers hunting in his feral form, but is just as skilled with tools as a human.

Makes and sells leatherwork. Can make just about anything from small accessories to clothing and even armor.

Plays guitar.

Poor hearing in his right ear due to injury.

Hunts and grows most of the food he eats daily, including some spices. A decent cook, far from being a gourmet though and doesn't pay particular attention to taste, unless cooking for someone else. Able to digest raw meat without issue due to his nature, omnivorous.

A secluded cabin deep in the woods that he built, situated upon a riverbank. A place where he keeps up a career of leatherworking and provides his goods to a local town store a few miles away. Can make anything from accessories to clothing and even armor.

Qansalu

A tropical island on which he was born. Covered with dense, uninhabited rainforests that are teeming with wildlife and have been the home of an ancient shapeshifter species.

Fully healed now thanks to Ten's magic tea. Participated in the spring rally competition some, went feather hunting with Damia. Other than that being a lazy potato.
