Main Game OC

This character is based off the trainer in my Pokemon videogames, so their birthday is the day I've began the game and such things like Pokemon team, Gym accomplishments and some story events are based on real in-game stuff; please respect that, they're not meant to replace the canon protagonists in any way.

 :bulletpink:Main story:
Kristy had a rather regular and boring life; born in Violet City, studied in Earl's Academy, occasionally seeing the other family members...nothing special. Her parents divorced when she was still a kid (7 years old or so) and her father decided to go living in Goldenrod bringing with him also Kristy's older sister, while Kristy remained in Violet with her mother. The visits with the other "half" of her family became progressively less, until she basically saw her father and sister only once a month or during holidays.
She had always been a timid girl, but all of this made her feel rejected by her father, making her even more insecure. She also avoided making friends because she was afraid the other kids would either tease her for being "fatherless" (they were the first to gave her the idea her father hated her and abandoned her), or she would get too attached to them and if she had to lose them as well someday it would hurt too much.

When Kristy was 9, her older cousin Argento came by in Violet City, showing her that he had become a Trainer, and with a Pokedex too. Kristy was very impressed by that, and did her best with her studies so that, a few months later when she was finally of legal Trainer age, she could do the same as Argento.
The starter Pokemon of her choosing was Cyndaquil, and the two did their best to speed up and hopefully catch up with Argento so that they could travel together. Along the way she met a red-haired boy called Raphael who seemed to know Argento....and to have quite the bitter relationship with him. But the two talked some and thanks to Raphael Kristy was able to track her cousin down.

The cousins met at Mt. Mortar; due to speeding through Kristy had her Pokemon underleveled but she was still feeling much more confident than she'd felt in ages thanks to her new friends, so when she knew that Argento was heading to Mahogany Town to help Gold with Team Rocket she asked to go with them to help. Argento agreed, but while in TR's hideout Kristy showed to be pretty unable to take down the Rockets and Argento sent her back, promising her that he, Gold and Lance would sort things through and not worry. With the little confidence she had gained shattered, Kristy felt insecure again, if not even more than before. She really wanted to help, and feeling more of a burden than anything else destroyed her. On the way back, she met another red-haired boy, but she was sure it wasn't Raphael. The boy was muttering something about TR, and seemingly hesitating whether on entering the HQ or not, setting on marching in a bit later. Kristy waited outside, trying to occupy her mind by training some in the nearby routes. Finally Argento and the others came out victorious, the red-haired boy seemingly teased in a friendly way by Gold and then hastily disappearing, and the police came along as well.

Discouraged after the event, Kristy started slacking off with training and earning badges, while Argento flew through the Elite Four and even the Kanto Gyms as if it were nothing to him. The cousins still saw each other a lot, but as time progressed it was more because Argento needed Kristy to trade him some Pokemon or something along those lines. She could feel that as her cousin was entering adolescence, he was becoming more arrogant and bossy, nothing like the sweet and gentle boy she knew.
Kristy also encountered Raphael and the other red-haired boy -Silver- a few times, especially Silver. When she learned that Silver was actually the son of TR's boss and how he wanted to disband TR once and for all she really felt for the boy, admiring how despite his upbringing he was still after justice, and she wanted to help him, but often tried not to afraid she'd be a burden once again. The two, over time, managed to be pretty good friends though.

A couple years passed by, and while Kristy hadn't still beaten the last Johto gym leader, Clair, Argento had gone as far as Mt. Silver, and since a good year too. She managed to know during that period also Ash, a boy her age -from Kanto though- that had apparentely became Argento's best friend. Months went by quite uneventful, until she heard the awful news...Ash wasn't a Pokemon Trainer anymore. He had tragically lost all of his team and he himself was barely still alive, found nearly unconscious after the sea had claimed his friends. Rumors were that he was persistently hunting for the glitch Pokemon, MissingNo, since a while now, and that may be the reason of the happenings; or at least, that was what Ash himself was convinced of.*

While the two weren't particularly close, they were still good friends. Kristy still had Hanamichi, Ash's Charizard, that he had lent her for breeding purposes, and he was now the only Pokemon he had left, bringing the two a bit more close. Kristy really felt for her friend and wanted to help, but not much could be done. However, she had heard of the legends surrounding the mythical bird, Ho-Oh, and how it had the powers to bring Pokemon back to life. In order to summon the legendary, the myths instructed to bring the legendary beasts Suicune, Raikou and Entei to Tin Tower, and the trainer had to have a pure heart. While not considering herself "pure", Kristy did remember Eusine saying something along the lines of Suicune deeming her worthy, so she started her mad quest to find and catch the legendaries. She managed to get Raikou and Entei, but sadly, after the girl had preferred not to battle Suicune at Tin Tower and let the Pokemon go, it was nowhere to be found anymore. After a while, she managed to obtain a Suicune in a trade from a mysterious Trainer**, but the ritual, for how many times she tried, didn't work. She could only speculate that she needed the legendary trio to be fully "hers", and with Suicune having another OT it just couldn't work. Kristy choose not to tell anything to anyone about it, afraid the false hope would only give Ash even more troubles.

Not too long after, a matter of weeks, Argento was struck by self-brought tragedy too: he had his Trainer License confiscated.***
Apparentely, he had made a bunch of "friends" his age that were really into cheating, and made him try as well. He duplicated Pokemon non-stop, overfed them with Rare Candies, did illegal things to acquire those he didn't have yet...the breaking point was probably when he stole Elite Four Karen's Houndoom, thinking she was "evil" or something. Now he was left with only his starter Pokemon, and never to be a Trainer again. It was the first time Kristy saw the real face of his cousin back again, the pain destroying the stuck-up teen he was becoming and revealing the kind boy he really was. Some of the Pokemon from his main team Argento had duplicated, like Espeon and Lugia, had been previously sent to Kristy, so he was really clinging to her and being grateful and sorry with his cousin. Kristy tried to help as much as she could, but once again there was not much that she could do.

A couple years went by, and Argento was back to his sweet, positive and ever-loving self. To atone the mistakes he made in the past, he choose to be a Pokemon Ranger, and was doing a very good job at that. Kristy felt motivated by it, and started back her journey, remaking her team completely from scratch (as it was previously chosen with the "help" of Argento, and even included some of his duplicate Pokemon she really couldn't totally bond with). In order to do this, she went adventuring in Kanto as well, to see as may Pokemon as possible and finding her perfect team mates. There she met again Silver, after a while that they've been out of touch; he was apparentely trying to give a second chanche to his father, despite his usual tsundere self. The two caught up very quickly, but as she was starting to feel something more for him, she was called back to Johto by Argento and family.
Apparentely, the reason why her older sister avoided most contact in the past couple years was because she was going through the delicate transition from woman to man.****

Kyou, that was his name now, and from what Kristy heard their father really didn't approve of his son finally finding his true self, so Kyou had left home and was staying at Argento's (he had moved to a mansion his own on Mt. Silver) for the time being.
Shock of course was still there, but Kristy never had spent much time with her former sister anyways, and as open-minded and loving as she was, just like Argento had been, she got used to her brother in no time. The two managed to stitch up the damaged relationship they endured because of their parents, and Kristy noticed how her sibling was happier and friendlier than he'd ever been. Kyou even helped Kristy building her new team, and the two overall spent a lot of time together. Argento's mansion throughout the years had become as a sort of common home/get together spot for all of his friends, so the house was always bursting with people and happiness.

Kristy grew to be a lot more confident, even if always timid and soft-spoken, and managed to get the Kanto badges, but didn't dare to challenge Red out of fear and respect. She started instead trying to work more on herself and her relationships, and ended up dating Silver. The two moved to Olivine City due to Kristy's job, as she had become a policewoman in her eternal quest to bring justice and peace (which caused lots of troubles with her relationship with Silver, good old Giovanni didn't approve at all xD), married, and had a little girl, Hina, with twins on the way as of now ♥
She's closer than ever with her brother Kyou, befriending also his soon-to-be wife Aurelie, is very close to Argento and her other cousins, seeing each other very very often, and also still has a good friendship with Ash and his wife Aida, going also with them to Unova to help them take care of their baby's health. So all in all, life is good for now c,:

Her current design is of her late teenage years (basically "Silver-dating" era xD)! I occasionally doodle her as a kid or adult/mommy though c:

**NOTES**

*My sister in her Red game/Ash's gameplay, was obsessed with finding MissingNo, and spent months just trying to encounter it. One day the game just resetted, and since she was just a little child she though MissingNo was mad for hunting it down and destroyed her game in revenge. (it was most likely the battery giving out, even if afterwards played absolutely normally, but it's impossible to find MissingNo in the italian and spanish versions, plus she was looking for it near Articuno's islands instead of Cinnabar so yeah...the story stuck though, especially since during a trade with Blue the games froze/glitched and the only readable text among the junk filling the screen was MissingNo xD)

**Yes, I didn't manage to get Suicune, but I still sure as heck wanted that sweet Ho-Oh so I traded for one. The problem is, I don't remember ANYONE trading a Suicune to me, and the OT reads "Chris" (default male character name in Crystal)...nobody had Crystal or a trainer named Chris among my family and school friends, so I wonder with who the heck I traded...

***As people who know me/my OCs may remember, I had borrowed from my friends a GameShark and started a cheating spree to fill the few holes I had in my Pokedex+other fun things (yeah, little me was CONVINCED Karen was evil, and I had to save her Pokemon from her xD), and one day my game resetted. Of course I was a devastated little kid and blamed it all on the cheating device, may have been the battery as well though. And yeah, this happened a mere weeks after Ash, our two babies "died" together ;v;g

****Aka my sister just can't RP as a female so she thought it would have been fun and interesting to perform the "sex change" glitch on her Crystal xD (it was so cool to have a blue-colored male character! >v<)

 :bulletpink:Pokemon:
Main team: Thyplosion, Kangaskhan, Xatu, Suicune, Lanturn, Misdreavus
Other notables: Vaporeon, tba

Thyl -> Thyplosion, male
Kristy's trusty starter Pokemon, he's actually a super lazy goofball who just likes to nap, snuggle in cozy places, and chase butterflies all day. He's often Dedalo's (Silver's -as in my OC, not the canon guy- Feraligatr) partner-in-crime for fridge raids and general goofyness. Tends to bear-hug anyone, and has the same innocence (and brightness) of a child. Wears a fireproof neck bandana with a Charcoal tied to it on the back, so that its in the same spot as his collar flames and can further enhance the fire power. Due to being the only member of Kristy's former team still there, he has developed the habit to protect the new members, and at times overdoing training in a very goofy way to keep up with his team leader title.

Reena -> Kangaskhan, female
One of "Kyou's babies", she was caught in Kanto but was proving very difficult to catch; Kristy handed one of her balls to Kyou and bam, instant capture. Reena is how you would expect a Kangaskhan to be: strong, motherly, and incredibly protective. She's basically the team's momma, always making sure her team mates -and Kristy- have a good diet, sleep enough, wear mittens in winter, etc. Her moveset is only made of punches (Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Dynamic Punch) and she's very athlethic despite her anatomy. The baby she carries in the pouch is Rio, and he's usually very curious and ready for trouble, but a bit of a scaredy cat at the same time. She often puts in the pouch Silver's -the canon one- Sneasel.

Ulisse -> Xatu, male
Ulisse is more often than not seen lost, deep in thought, but upon further inspection he's just probably dozing off. He tends to sleep a lot, mostly with his eyes still open, and he claims to do so to sustain his "incredible psychic powers". Likes to tell dubious jokes that no one understands, perhaps not even himself, and often spaces out and says or does things completely out of context. Isn't much of a battler, being lazy or, how he says, a pacifist, but still likes to support his team.

Suicune -> Suicune (identifies as male)
The Legandary obtained by a mysterious Trainer in a trade, Kristy honestly doesn't even remember the trade but she's been smitten with the creature almost immediately. Suicune is very quiet, highly intelligent, and generally polite but can often come off as haughty, and tends to be very harsh with those he doesn't like. Is maybe the Pokemon who bonded more intensely with Kristy (maybe helped by the fact he can communicate telepathically), and is extremely protective of her. Tends to be the one in charge when Kristy isn't there, keeping the other team mates in check and making sure everything's in order. He's also the only Pokemon that Kristy and Silver trust to let their daughter Hina with, he makes a pretty good babysitter and housewife xD

Lilanie -> Lanturn, female
Lilanie is extremely shy and nervous, and tends to stay quiet and blend in the background most of the time. She's actually quite the powerhouse and can't always control her strenght, part of her nervousness is probably due to being afraid to hurt someone (even if it does came in very useful in battles). She's very accepting and open-minded, can usually always find something positive in everyone and everything. Likes lolita fashion, and tries to don herself in pretty ribbons whenever.

Banshee -> Misdreavus, female
The other "Kyou's baby", this time Kristy had a Misdreavous egg that didn't seem to want to hatch, so she left it a bit with Kyou and...yeah, hatched almost immediately. Banshee, like the name and species imply, is a prankster at heart, and finds most delight in scaring others to death, not really knowing a limit. Especially likes to pick on Ash, maybe because he's really into creepy things. She claims to be the soul of a deceased Victorian widow, and when she's not in prankster mode acts up to it, being very classy.

 :bulletpink:Relationships:
---Kyou
 (brother) @captainrei

TBA
---Silver (boyfriend, future husband) canon character
TBA
---Hina (daughter)
TBA
---Argento (cousin)
TBA

---RJ (cousin)
When RJ first started his journey the two didn't talk much, as he was still very bitter about being forced to follow Argento's steps, and it was only after he found his true vocation that the cousins became closer. The two like to explore together very often, and when RJ can't it's Kristy that explores for him and sends him information for his job. Their quiet personalities and their curiosity and love for nature make them get along very well.

---Silver (cousin)
Like almost everyone in their family, she's very patient with Silver's loud, at times rude behaviour, but admittedly doesn't spend much time with her. Silver tends to jockingly talk of things that may hurt Kristy and the others without much thought, but the two found a sort of bridge due to their starter Pokemon budding up. She tries to be a big sister figure to Silver, hoping to tame her a bit.

---Aurelie (friend, future sister-in-law)
Like with Argento, Aurelie noticed Kristy back in the days when thy were kids, due to Kristy travelling and Aurelie helping her father with his business in Goldenrod, but they never really met each other until their teenage years, when Aurelie joined the Mt. Silver's group, and especially after becoming Kyou's girlfriend. Kristy is very grateful that such a nice and accepting girl is with her brother, and is very happy with their relationship. Finds Aurelie herself very nice and easy to get along with, the two became very good friends over time.

---Ash (friend) @captainrei
Kristy was excited to know there was a boy her age she could befriend, but he was already Argento's bestie and the two didn't pay much attention to her at the time. It was after Ash lost his Pokemon that they started talking a bit more and became good friends, even training together. Sadly Ash is a bit of a prankster (specializing in creepy/horror stuff), which works even too well with nervous Kristy, but other than that they trust each other and have fun together.

---Aida (friend)
When she was new to the group Kristy was initially drawn to her because she could see her as introverse girl, just like she was, and wanted to offer her friendship to make her feel more at ease. She was always too shy to make the first step, and Ash beat her to it, basically taking Aida's attention all for himself. It was only as young adults that the two became very good friends, letting their kids grow together and such.

---Giovanni (father-in-law) canon character
Was initially very intimidated, and almost wanted to arrest the man for everything he's done with TR (also as a personal grudge for the bad parenting with Silver and Mars), but in the end decided to give him a second chanche, since they were now family. Giovanni on the other side, highly disliked her for being the classic nice girl and especially a policewoman, but everything changed when Hina was born. Giovanni became the perfect grandpa and Kristy started reconsidering him, seeing his regret over his bad role as a father and the will to become better in family relations. Giovanni also started to accept Kristy, and after years and seeing how a great grandpa he is and how Hina incredibly adores him, it's Kristy the one more supportive of him rather than Silver.

---Ariana (mother-in-law) canon character
Since Ariana separated from Giovanni to move with her life and have a family with Archer, Kristy tends to not see her super often, but she's pretty neutral to the woman. Like with Giovanni, she doesn't approve of the lack of care in her kids when she was younger, but can see she deeply regrets it now and tries to make it up for it. She appreciates Ariana's politeness and all the times she takes out photos, videos or just stories of Silver's childhood, but deep inside is incredibly frightened by her.

---Mars (sister-in-law) canon character
Kristy never had much to do with Silver's older sister, mainly because Silver himself didn't want to. Kristy is mainly afraid of Mars' seemingly lacking maturity, and as much as she likes family unity she doesn't enjoy much spending time together (especially when she's often an irresponsible aunt with Hina). She tries to be supportive though, as she knows Mars' current self is probably also thanks to her bad parents.

---Raphael (friend/rival)
Have a weird rivalry/friendship, Kristy is actually the only one to know his name, since all Argento would ever say of his rival's name was always "AAAAAH". Kristy finds his obsession/idolation of Silver very cute, and the two often mock each other (mainly Raphael does the mocking) but in the end they do consider each other as friends and would protect each other.

:bulletpink: Trivia:

  • Despite choosing a fire starter, Kristy's favorite types are "watery" ones (water/ice) and "mystical" ones (psychic/ghost).
  • Due to having saved a couple Pokemon from both Ash and Argento, she's been nicknamed "the living Pokemon shelter" or "the Pokemon saviour" by them.
