Suzuka Asano

Suzuka is Gakushu's twin sister and daughter of the Board Chairman of Kunugigaoka Academy, Gakuho. Unlike her brother, Suzuka was isolated from the world due to having a weak heart. She was homeschooled up until entering junior high school, in which she enrolled in her father's school, despite the protest of her family. Growing up in an enviornment where all of the attention was on her, Suzuka decided to go by her mother's maiden name, Ishikawa, to distance herself from the attention of her family. Similar to her father, Suzuka inherited his genius-level intellect and ability to completely memorize information in a short period of time. Despite this, she only keeps average grades for the same reasons as using a fake name.

Initially placed in the D class, Suzuka kept to herself. She desperately wanted to make friends, but her lack of social interaction has made her very shy. With no particular outstanding aspects, Suzuka was treated as almost invisible. While most were friendly with her, no one actively tried to befriend her. Despite this, Suzuka kept a positive attitude, hoping to one day gain enough courage to talk to someone else. Specifically, Suzuka always admired Nagisa for his kindness and Karma for his outgoing (almost forceful) personality.

Upon witnesses a scene involving a bully, Suzuka found the courage to change and seek friendship. Following that moment, she did something drastic and failed her exams, claiming the lowest spot in the rankings. Despite knowing she did this on purpose, her father had no choice but to place her in the E-Class. With a new class, Suzuka is able to open up and become who she truly wants to be. She also gets to experience a fun and exciting life when Koro-Sensei, a yellow octopus that the government asks that she kill, beings teaching.
