People often see him as just another tough guy, but those who know him know he's incredibly reliable and giving. He's willing to put in the work and tough things out, has a philosophy that "someone's gotta do it". Patient and thick skinned, it takes a lot to piss him off. He will punch things first and ask questions later in some scenarios cause he doesn't always think things through.

Vergil will take care of those that are in need, he believes people should be able to get by in a 'normal' life. He also lives by an incredibly strict moral code, and follows it. Oh, and he's always watching... Something he's quite capable of since he can be at 4 places at once if he really wanted to.

Born in the Southern States, Vergil grew up in an incredibly strict and religious family. Both his parents recently immigrated over from Italy, his father was a bit of a drunkard and his mother was a zealous Catholic. He grew up in a bit of dysfunctional home, tried to spend as much time doing recreational activities or whatever he could to avoid being at home with his family. His parents fought all the time to the point his father had become physically abusive of both him and his mother. This is part of the reason why Vergil is always just so protective of the people he cares for. He was thrown out of his house at the age of 12 and learned to survive on his own working part-time and odd jobs every chance he could in between living off of his friend's couches. Constantly trying to get his mother to move out and live with him was a futile battle that kept on for a few years. She refused because she was under the unfortunate impression that the God she believed in with everything she had would save her husband or that she deserved to be treated that way for her sins. Vergil's mother was killed by his father one night from a drunken rampage, he partially blamed himself for not being strong enough to get her out of the toxic relationship.

The apocalypse happened the day of his mother's burial. It was a day Vergil would never forget as the world literally and figuratively crumbled around him. There was no other way to go but up at that point in his life when he somehow survived. It took him a few years of harsh living until he ran into a few members of Psyke. From there he did all he could to help rebuild and find a place to finally call home. Thanks to them he currently has a roof above his head and a constant supply of food and safe shelter. He lives his days with Red's group doing all he can day in and day out to work towards a slightly less shitty future.
