Powers: No powers. Extended lifespan (Can live up to 200 years). WuTech hard light emitting bracelets that are neurologically linked to his mind, able to create whatever constructs he can imagine (weapons, suits, random items, symbols, etc). Trained in kickboxing.

Weaknesses: Due to shortage of adequate energy sources or lack thereof, construct creation is limited. The more complex or large the construct, the more energy it drains before the technology needs to be recharged. Is vulnerable when technology is deactivated and opponent is superior in hand to hand combat.

Hard light protects against most forms of damage, but can still be damaged by extreme sources of power (superhuman, alien, supernatural, etc).

In the year 2304, Ruiming "Ryan" Wu had just turned 21. It was almost hard to believe how far he had come from where he was before. While he still struggles to balance his obsession with his work and research and socializing with others, there was no denying that Ryan Wu was the smartest man in the world.

Gifted with a brilliant mind, he helped his father build their hard light construction company into a global phenomenon of applications for his invention.

Seeing an opportunity to represent WuTech, and fulfilling a promise he made to his grandfather, Ryan decided to use his hard light technology to become the superhero known as

THE LEDEFENDER! THE UNBREAKABLE WARRIOR OF LIGHT!

He quickly caught the attention of the New Paragon Alliance and became a respected member of the team, helping with crucial technologies and world-ending threats.

However, as always, Ryan's latest experiment had landed him into some major trouble. This time, it wasn't going to be a quick fix.

Curious on his recent discovery of alternate timelines, Ryan began working on modifying his bracelets to "hop through time". After a few failed experiments with some time hoppers being lost forever, Ryan decided that he would need to test it using himself.

He had spent months analyzing the results, trying to find out every wrong calculation he had made, until he felt 100% sure he would make the successful hop backwards in his timeline and then hop back to the same point in time.

Keeping his position and time logged, Ryan said his goodbyes to his friends and family and reassured them he'll be back in seconds.

But Ryan never made it back.

Instead, he found himself shifted to Timeline Theta. He couldn't understand why, he was certain he was supposed to hop backwards into Timeline Alpha. Theta didn't even exist when he checked.

Trapped in a time with less powerful resources, Ryan quickly made his way to the Paragon Alliance HQ and explained the situation to them. In return for their aid in researching a way back to his time, Ryan agreed to join their team as a member of the Paragons.

He figured since he was already a member in the future, how hard could it be in the past? Well...HIS past.
