Azure Aurora

The second oldest of five siblings and notably the most introverted of them. Azure is an inkling who has gradually lost interest in most forms of battle, instead devoting most of her time to mastering Salmon Run. The only exception she'll make to participate in PVP battles is when teaming up with her family, friends or her partner. Azure formely worked at MakoMart to earn extra money to take care of her siblings, and quit the job when she got tired of being micromanaged and hassled by customers. This was also around the time her older sister returned home from being away at school. After an argument broke out between two of her siblings, Azure has been proactive in calling to check on them. Her siblings call her by the nickname 'Zuzu'.

Azure likes to take pictures, and documents her life in a scrapbook. She's made six scrapbooks and is working on a seventh. She keeps an instant camera which she saved up a lot of money for, with her as well as a mini photo album. Her favorite pics are costume pics, and she herself has taken to wearing prop armor around like actual clothes.

Azure is in a relationship with an octoling named Al, whose outgoing energy complements her serenity. Azure cares a lot about him, especially when he gets into his feelings about becoming a more serious player. This concern for her lover also fuels an intense animosity towards Al's idol Viri-Kuri, a competitive player whose disparaging remarks about players below X rank has damaged her boyfriend's confidence and emotional state on more than one occasion. She's happy to be an emotional support for Al, but also wishes that he would find someone else to look up to.

Azure has become quite pessimistic towards playing in Turf or Ranked matches by herself for a few reasons; Her original favorite weapon, the Dual Squelcher, was banned and replaced with dualies that she didn't enjoy as much as the shooter. Additionally, she is tired of being harassed for being a Jet Squelcher player. In the past, disgruntled opponents would call Azure a "coward", "wannabe charger", or "talentless missile spammer" because of her choice of weapon. She is also very hurt by how poorly competitive players are rating the Jet Squelcher, knowing that potential teammates will insult her for playing a weapon she likes. Salmon Run has made her very flexible, with at least surface-level knowledge on every weapon.

Conversely, Azure really likes working Grizzco shifts. She is happy that she can be successful even with a surface-level knowledge of weapons she otherwise wouldn't feel confident enough to take into PVP. She also doesn't have to worry about seeing her opponents again after a shift, (since her opponents are Salmonids) and having to hear them say rude things about her. Azure gets especially excited when her signature weapon is in the loadout because it allows her the opportunity to use it with a Splat Bomb sub. She is exceptionally skilled in Salmon Run shifts, and she sees many more compliments from her coworkers there than she would ever get from her teammates after a PVP match. As one of the more skilled Grizzco workers, she often assists new recruits in on-the-job training. She also met Al during a shift that had the Jet and N-ZAP, their signature weapons, simultaneously in the weapon loadout.
