Personality

Born and raised like the princess she looked like, Camaris was pampered since birth. With the level-headed attitude of her mother however, and the loving care of the humans, she never became a snotty equine. She was taught to never take anything for granted, and now appreciates everything handed to her. She definitely wasn't as level-headed as her mother, for she had fire in her soul stronger than she could handle. And running? Running was everything she ever wanted. It sparked everything in her and made her feel alive.

With such a wise mother, Camaris grew up very quickly. She quickly caught onto things like how to survive in the world, and what was wrong/right to do or how to act. When she reached two years old and began to work with the humans as their getaway is when her personality did nearly a 180 degrees. While she was still the same spunky mare, she began getting more aggressive towards strangers and through watching the humans, she also became very cunning. Tricking even her humans into little games where she would disappear and hide around corners, stealing their jewelry only to poke it in obvious other places just to scare them. She also became less phased by violence, as some situations involved fighting and even death. There were a few times when she returned home with no rider. Empathy became less and less as each month went by and each situation she was involved with, she became bomb-proof(not literally). There wasn't anything that could really scare this mare.

Strong willed, cunning, narcissistic.

History

Far away, outside of a tiny village in a desert, there were a group of rebels. These weren't just any rebels, they were well-known thieves. Stealing everything they could get their hands on, they made a name for themselves. No one knew their true identities so their location was never given up, but just in case they often moved from settlements they made. One time they managed to get very lucky by finding a secret access into a wealthy home in the village. While their main goal were to steal valuables like gold and jewelry, when they laid their eyes on a beautiful Arabian mare in the small stable, they couldn't leave such a rarity. Little did they know that she was carrying a foal, and would become to be more of a hassle than they thought.

As the months went on and her stomach began to round, they began to catch on. There was no way a mare was gaining that kind of weight in a desert while traveling often. They didn't starve her and actually made sure to not ruin the treasure they found. Once they thought she was close to giving birth, they rested at one of their settlements where they built a bed of hay for her. She had actually grown fond of the group and didn't try to escape or anything, knowing they would take excellent care of her baby, or at least try. While they were thieves, they weren't terrible people. They were actually ecstatic for the foal, knowing it would grow to be as beautiful and powerful as its mother.

The time eventually came for her to foal, and it was an absolute mess. The mare couldn't handle the birth, and became so weak half-way through that the rebels had to pull the foal the rest of the ways out. She was able to sit up and clean her foal, but that was it. For the first few weeks they had to feed the foal through bottle, although they didn't mind for she was even more beautiful than her mother. Her head was darker than the rest of her body, an odd white stripe following down each eye. White trailed up all of her legs, and her eyes could pierce anyone's soul. She would become an excellent attribute to them.

And so she did. They pampered her like a princess, but through the lessons from her mother and the humans, she did not grow a snotty attitude. She was grateful for whatever she was given, and just loved to run. Camaris at first found the feeling of a human on her back very odd, but easily accepted it with the great trust level between the group. When they were on her back, she could run as fast as she pleased, and that's exactly what she wanted to do. At the mere age of two she was helping with robberies, catching on very quickly. She was quickly taught that once someone was on her back she was to bolt forward as fast as she could. They only controlled her with her mane, but once she reached adult size and seemed to stop growing, they immediately began to search for jewelry fit for a princess. They wanted to show her off, for she was the greatest thing they had ever stolen. She was worth more money than some of the jewels they found, and even more in their hearts. Eventually they found a banner of sorts, with colors that matched her piercing eyes. Sewed in were golden beads that went all around and looped down, and two beautiful golden necklaces large enough to fit on her legs. Camaris loved it.

Camaris was often given breaks, as her and her mother took turns being used by the humans. However when she was nearly four years old, her mother went out with one of them and neither returned. She noticed the humans chatting and hanging their heads, but she carried on. Whether her mother was dead or alive, she could now get all of the spotlight. She worked her ass off, racing faster than anyone could catch up, through thin alley ways and around tight corners. When she turned four, the leader of the thieves died from heat stroke after a very long journey, and when the next in line took over, everything turned for the worst. He did not share his findings with the group, he wouldn't even portion the food, he just took it all for himself. Finding food for Camaris was the least of his worries, although he had to keep some bones on her body for she was their getaway. She eventually left the group to run on her own in the wild.
