Fable

personality: even for being a child, fable was naive. like, extremely naive. like, 'ooh i'm gonna walk up to that guy who's chasing me with a knife' kind of naive. a part of this could be attributed to her friendship with kyoko, a pps kia appearing her age who was telling fable dark stories about the world since before fable could even feel a proper sense of fear. fable is still at a point of her life where she treats everything like a children's adventure story- fairies hide under the leaves in every garden, every new person has an adventure planned out for her, and bad guys are clearly marked with black-and-red capes and evil laughter. since she's not at a point in her life when anyone has really, genuinely, hurt her, she really has no reason to believe that bad things actually exist. while her father aesop embraces her acceptance and curiosity towards everything, her mom nenya is constantly worrying over fable and tends to be a bit of a helicopter parent over the kid, policing her safety to the point that fable wants nothing more than to get out in the world and meet everyone.

as a young adult, fable is attending school to become an entomologist as she inherited her mother's love of insects of all shapes and sizes. unfortunately she never really grew out of her naivete and has ended up in the hospital several times as of now, both from a lack of caution around her six-legged subjects and a general lack of caution around dangerous places and people. she's a bit of a bad-luck magnet despite not having an evil bone in her body, although she just kind of accepts it and always tends to blame it on herself and her miscomings rather than the obvious danger around her. in fable's somewhat misled eyes nobody can be a bad person except her, and she's surprisingly self-deprecating and sad under her constant cheery and optimistic outward appearance.

childhood history: as a small child, fable never really had anything majorly eventful happen in her life. born in the suburbs of neon city, carolina, in her parents aesop and nenya's small house, fable spent most of her time looking under rocks in the garden to find cool bugs, hopping over the fence to play with her neighbors, or spending time in her dad's library reading book after book with kyoko. there was little to no tech used in their house due to nenya's paranoia that tech will stunt fable's social development, but that doesn't mean that fable couldn't just go over to the neighbor's house and play club penguin on her friend's computer. overall fable's life has been relatively uneventful but happy as of now- but of course, like anything all of that could change.
