Asher

personality: it's probably a good thing for the world that asher is selectively mute and lives in an area where most don't know sign language, as the vast majority of the things that asher says are crude, sarcastic, and at times definitely not safe for work. however, outside of his crude 'speech' asher is a very kind and hardworking individual, if a little mischevious and reckless at times. he generally keeps rather to himself unless he has some snide remark to give and there's somebody around who'd know what he was going to say, and likes others to stay out of his business as much as he does theirs. the only place he really puts any of his personal thoughts is in his journal, which he has to replace every few months or so and constantly keeps on his person. if you were to read his journal you'd find page after page of cruddy drawings, maps of the stars, personal musics and philosophical thoughts on the world- but of course, you wouldn't be, because if you did asher'd come at you with the force of an angry raccoon.

history: neon city, carolina (a fictional city where most of my kiamaras live, fyi) is generally known for its affluence, glamor and excitement. of course, no city is anywhere near perfect, and asher grew up as part of the population that proved this to be true. selectively mute and homeless, asher grew up as a street kid with a gang of friends, pickpocketing and selling their stolen wares to survive. however, when asher attempted to pickpocket a quiet older woman, nenya, she caught him and took pity on him as she grew up forced into a similar life. asher now lives under their roof and is paid in return for working as an assistant in nenya's spa, and is all-around living a much better life.

occupation: nenya's spa assistant
hobbies: whittling wood into interesting shapes, sitting on the roof, petting stray cats
relationships: asher is housemate, employee of and friend to aesop, nenya and fable! asher's about three years older than fable but the two are best friends as they've spent a lot of their life together.
fun fact: when asher is out to eat with aesop and nenya, he'll pretend to be a kid to get the free crayon set most restaurants offer with the kids meal to color in things. he likes crayons much more than ordinary pencils but would never actually ask aesop and nenya to buy him some as he doesn't like asking favors of people.
