Aesop

personality: aesop grew up being told to be polite, submissive, and invisible, and despite leaving his previous life there's really no getting rid of these personality traits at this time. he's awkwardly formal about just about everything,tolerant of even the most brutal treatment, and tends to be very self-deprecative about the smallest of failures, and his subsequent fear of failure has caused him to miss out on a lot of opportunities that he might have otherwise had. his true sense of inspiration and happiness, however, comes from writing and telling stories, especially to children. kids are the only people aesop is really willing to open up to on a dime since they generally don't act condescending and superior towards him like many adults, and aesop's dream is to have a next generation of adults who think like kids in all the best ways, with their sense of imagination and acceptance left untampered with by growing up.

history: aesop was born as one of the best of the second-best, believing from a young age that he could never do anything besides serve others. born to a family of butlers and servants famous among richer circles for its excellent skill and undying servitude, aesop grew up in somebody else's house being told that he was on a lower level than his 'employers' by even his family. while not particularly happy with this arrangement he grew up learning everything excellently and not really questioning his position, and in fact didn't recieve his feathers until a much later age when he decided he wanted them and plucked them off a goose, hunted by his employer, that he was preparing for the family meal. the only real constant light in his life came from the children he was serving, who treated him as more of a dad than they did their own father and inspired a love for storytelling in him early on.
however, after a while after the children he was taking care of began to gain their independence, aesop started to realize that there was something, well, wrong in his life and that in his current situation, he was likely never going to be able to start a family or do anything outside of serve others from the shadows. despite it meaning cutting ties with both his parents and employers, aesop took the step and quit his 'job' to work in the city. while he originally started out doing nothing more than fast food and retail jobs at minimum wage, aesop eventually dove into his love of reading and storytelling and managed to secure a surprisingly well-paying job as a local librarian and archivist, and writes short fantasy stories in his spare time. while his life now is not nearly as luxurious as his previous life (even as a butler of sorts) he is happy especially with his growing family.

relationships: aesop is mates with nenya and has been close friends for years with kyoko, the little pps who lives at library he works at. he also has his own absent-minded and naive little daughter now, fable.
fun fact: despite being dirt-poor and doing more than a little dirty work, aesop wears a suit just about every day of his life. even when sleeping. it's kind of an issue at this point.
