Bliss

        Before Lunamore Bliss, born Nalia, lived in the city of Neverwinter. She has very few memories of the first three years of her life - the gaps filled in by her older brother, Sorrow. They were born to a courtesan (whom Bliss has never learnt the name of, it's one thing her brother refuses to tell her.) who often left her children unattended, and Bliss' father was never known to her, likely a client of their mother's. Thus, Sorrow became Bliss' guardian; ten years her senior, he was often left to care for the younger tiefling.

        After yet more time of being left alone, with little provisions to care for himself and his sister, Sorrow decided they couldn't continue to live like this. He'd spent time enough at the harbour and had heard whisperings of an island, not too far from the coast, that sounded completely idyllic and a far better environment for Bliss to grow up in. One afternoon, their mother still not home, Sorrow packed up what little possessions of import they had, and stowed himself and a tiny Bliss away on a fishing vessel headed for this quaint island; Lunamore.

        The island was as he'd heard; small, but beautiful. The sense of community was undeniable; Sorrow was filled with hope. After some time fending for themselves, Sorrow was caught stealing provisions from the church. Instead of handing out a cruel punishment, they offered him and his sister food and shelter, and in return he would work at the local farm - initially as a form of community service for the theft, and then out of choice. Meanwhile, Bliss spent her days wandering the island, foraging and enjoying the wilds.

        During her time exploring, Bliss encountered the guardian of the island; a celestial unicorn by the name of Luna. They became fast friends, Sorrow initially believing Luna to be an imaginary friend at best, Bliss part of an island cult at worst. In time, Bliss came to rely on Luna for magic - pacting herself to the unicorn and taking up the mantle as her warlock. Together they aided the people of the island when they were in need, until one day Luna went away. Nobody knew where she'd gone, and her absence a strange illness took over the island. Some believed she'd had forsaken them, but Bliss, and a few others of her loyal followers, felt something was wrong and set out on a journey to find her, or a cure to this mystery illness.

        Some time after her strange disappearance Luna reappeared to Bliss, but she was changed and with it, Bliss' magic appeared differently. Luna whispered to Bliss to travel to the town of Phandalin, where they were to meet again. Eager to be reunited with her patron, and to get answers, Bliss set off immediately - barely notifying Sorrow of her depature before climbing aboard a boat headed for the mainland.

        Luna demanded one more thing of Bliss though; to check in on a village called Coldgrave as she travelled to Phandalin. Willing to appease her patron, Bliss took a slight detour to the village - needing to check in on some "Church of Intuition" at Luna's request; what followed was a series of events most unfortunate...
