This pillowing was given the name Niobe due to the unusual fact that it cries. And it cries. And... it cries. In fact it almost seems to do nothing but cry. No one even knows who the original owner and creator of this pillowing is so they don’t know who to ask what’s wrong with this pillowing.

Even though Niobe’s heart token has been replaced again and again, they wake up and begin to whimper. At least it’s not howling and screaming, no, it’s just.... soft pathetic sobs. As if try as they might, they’re desperately trying to hold it all in but just can’t. Niobe seems to be just overflowing with sadness.

Many people take pity on the pillowing, try to give it a new home, a new life. But sooner or later they always get fed up with it’s tear stained face and wet nose. There is only so much of that depressing face they can take. Niobe is never in one home for long. We’re not sure if they even mind since the mood never seems to change away from those quiet shivering sobs and sighs.

Story Update: 4/11/2021

Niobe has been found outside alone by a pillowing named Alto. The pillowing immediately picked them up and carried them home to AJ Ferret / Starcrossed. Niobe is currently living with AJ and her whole comfort of pillowings, though Alto is the one who specifically follows Niobe around and babysits her. Never letting the weepy kit pillowing get too far away before being scooped up and curled up with Alto.
