Stars and celestial bodies are a constant, only changing slowly to us, even if the physical body is long since gone. The theory of life beyond your own planet has been around for as long as interest in the cosmos has.
Nova is a young Kami with a lot of energy, always questioning the world around her. She’s passionate and loud about her field of study, but she is also incredibly stubborn and often refuses to listen to opinions that oppose her own and so she can be very difficult to work with. She talks quickly, often switching from one topic to another before she even finishes her point. Because of this, she is often seen as ‘ditzy’ and ‘an airhead’ - all of which could not be further from the truth. Nova is actually very bright - how else would she have become an Astronomer, duh - if others can’t keep up with her, then that’s their problem, not her’s. She hasn’t got time to coddle the egos of idiots, she’s got more important things to do.

Details
Present
Nova spends most of her time in her observatory, studying the stars and planets. Currently she is trying to find evidence for her hypothesis; that life exists outside of her own planet. She studies other planets and moving bodies in space for any signs of life but so far has found nothing. Occasionally she leaves her observatory and ventures down the mountain, either for supplies or to study an object that has fallen from space.
She has been studying the movements and paths of a particular meteoroid that has been moving rather erratically…
History
Nova has had an uneventful life thus far. She was raised by loving parents who doted on her. She performed well in school, excelling in maths and physics before becoming an Astronomer. The stars and planets had always fascinated her and she wished to know more and more about them. Recently she has become obsessed with the idea of extraterrestrial life and has been working erratically to prove her hypothesis.

Mathematics
It takes a lot more maths to study the stars and planets than one would originally think. Luckily Nova has always been a star student at maths, always excelling above others.
Engineering
Up on the top of one of Aurora Land's tallest mountains, if something breaks it's up to Nova to fix it. As a result, she's learnt to fix some of the more common problems with her large telescope.
Map Making
Nova makes a lot of maps, mostly of the stars and planets to track their movements, but also of Aurora Land itself. She is often editing her maps of Aurora Land to mark locations of meteorites she has found.
Penmanship
Nova does not care how messy her handwriting is or how it looks like 'chicken scratch'. She is mostly concerned with writing quickly so she can get down her observations and thoughts before they change.
Inventory
Telescope [Tool]
A small, portable telescope with her name on it. It was the first high tech telescope she ever owned and she takes it with her when she leaves her observatory.
Glow-in-the-dark Stickers [Stickers]
In addition to the stickers that float around her neck, Nova has always had a love for glow-in-the-dark stickers and keeps a large collection of them.

- Due to her erratic nature, her tail is rather messy
- Her observatory seems messy at first glance but everything is actually organised in a way that makes sense only to Nova

- As well as being afraid of the ocean, Nova is terrified of the creatures of the deep sea
- She can be very difficult to talk to due to the fact she switches topics so rapidly

One of the brothers who visits her in her observatory. She looks forward to Astrophel visiting her, they always have so much to discuss about the stars and space. At first their ghostly appearance distrubed her but she has long since got over that and finds comfort in their familiar glow.
