Greatest Strength

His strength may simply be his good nature and intentions. He's a diligent and dutiful person who gets things done, and can be a bit motherly towards those around him.

Greatest Weakness

Remi's weakness is his own health. Since he was little he's always had a naturally weak and susceptible immune system, a trait from his father's childhood. He'll get colds easily and in the spring he'll get persistent allergies.

Quilt making

A skill he vaguely remembers his father doing, still owning one that he once carried his baby sister in. Now he uses it as he's often cold. He can only do simpler quilts

Studying

He's fascinated by medical science and wonders if understanding it better may help him become healthier rather than relying on outdated traditions. He'd like to be a doctor like Mr. Mak one day.

Cooking

He cooks because it's necessary and to provide for his sister, although personally he's a picky eater who doesn't eat most of the things Audette eats, especially peppers and cucumber.

Positive Traits

He's actually very social when his health permits it, perhaps unconsciously seeking guidance from those older than him, parental figures to him, partially due to him being home sick often. He mainly has his little sister around, so when he actually meets those closer in age to him, he's frankly excited about it and likes to talk.

Neutral Traits

Remi has a motherly personality, somewhat dedicating his life to those important to him at a selfless level. While it's a responsibility imposed on by his parents during their separation, to care for his sister, he's still cared for by a handful of others himself at least, so he's never felt complete burnout.

Negative Traits

He's someone who takes on more than he should, overbearing for others, and can be easily discouraged when its a lot at once. He's afraid of messing up the first step, although most ordeals are tolerable and smooth sailing past the hesitant beginning.

Others' Perception

Loved Ones

Remi is known to care for his sister, also be cared for by her. Those close to the siblings send meals to Remi when he's ill.

Strangers

Most don't really know Remi personally, but the townspeople recognize him when he occasionally shops around. They find him nice but not standing out.

Enemies

He doesn't really have enemies, so who can say. He was briefly skeptical of Artemii, who felt unnerved by his gaze.

Remi was originally born in another Russian town, living with his demon parents for a few years. It was early into the country's civil wars but it took years to reach his town, leading to his parents staying behind to participate as their children fled to a sanctuary town. He was only 7 when he travelled to another part of Russia by himself, carrying his baby sister with him to Reuya, never again seeing his parents.

In Reuya, being an outlier in age compared to the other orphans, Remi had somewhat of a reserved personality because he was one of the only ones aware of his world’s circumstances upon him. Snezhana was an orphan when she began caring for all the children herself, not even an adult when her family/the orphanage’s adults died in war, so Remi relied on her a lot. Seeing how tough she was despite everything, he admired her greatly. Snezhana became more of a sisterly figure to him, and as for a fatherly figure, Remi looked upon Coquelicotta Mak’s father.

Living together with Audette, the pair still go their own ways in their daily lives, and Remi doesn't consider himself that lonely since he's often occupied with his interests. While he doesn't always go out, he still studies at home diligently, and he's glad Audette is out and about enjoying her time as well.

His sister isn't difficult to watch over; the town is considered safe and collectively cares for all of the kids, Remi included. Even so, when Angels are stationed for safety reasons, Remi recalls being discontent about the situation. He can't always be by his sister's side, so he feared for her safety whether she meets Baba Yaga or if she runs into any of the angels. When she becomes friendly with them, he's initially against meeting them, but learns they're more fair than expected, and in the end they are also around for the safety of the townspeople. With them, he feels a bit more relieved about his sister going out.

In general, Reuya doesn't consist of only longtime inhabitants. With the good reputation of Snezhana's orphanage, there's always someone new every once in a while. Lacra and Mircea are two new demons to the town, and rather than living in the orphanage with many other kids, Remi allows them to live with him and Audette moving forward.

Mircea is a very quiet child, while Lacra is more mature and outspoken. Neither is the type of person Remi is used to, complete opposites of his sister as well, but they quickly become friends regardless. With differences, he knows theres so much to learn from one another, and things to help the other grow in. These days when Audette goes out to play or see the angels, Remi notices their home is a little bit louder than usual, some rooms feel more lived in, and it's as if their "family" is growing. As they all look out for one another and grow their own way, Remi is glad to be a part of their current lives, and hopes that with all the rumors going on, that they can continue to have peaceful days.

∙ He's a picky eater so naturally he'll only cook foods he likes to eat. If his sister cooks something he doesn't like he'll still endure it for her though.

∙ Definitely sleeps under at least 3 blankets. Often cold.

∙ When he does get older he will be a doctor like the one who cared for him. He'd prefer staying in his town rather than traveling unless it's trips in a group.

∙The two curling strands of hair on the side of his head are based on strands I have myself.

∙ Of course he has a cute sneeze.

Mr.Mak was a doctor who occasionally visited Reuya, doing checkups on all the children and sending his daughter whenever he was busy. All the demon children adored him, and Remi spent the most time being checked up on by Mr.Mak due to his sickly nature. Seldom did Mr.Mak visit and see Remi without a cold or who knows what, so they tended to joke about it often. The doctor was humorous and generous, and felt the busy and bustling atmosphere of the orphanage didn’t help Remi recover; if he tried to sleep early, the little ones would jump on the beds, for example. So in the end, Mr.Mak let Remi and Audette move into his typically uninhabited home in Reuya, figuring two children would liven up the place while he travels. With a couple of medicinal books and a low maintenance herb garden, Remi loved his new home with Audette.
