Jane Doe, or Doe as she prefers, is an undead, psychic private detective. She was revived via a pact with the Department of Afterlife Affairs in order to help them with tracking down and helping wayward souls with unfinished business on Earth. She is also tasked with finding those who are actively avoiding their judgment. This includes the man who murdered her. Unfortunately, part of the pact means that her memory was wiped of anything personal to her, including the memories of her murder. So now she has to put her skills as a private detective and pyschic to find her own killer.

Doe is a thin, small woman who is sometimes mistaken for a teenage boy because of several different reasons. She is often seen wearing disguises as she pokes around, so sometimes she is seen wearing elaborate wigs or makeup. When she’s not working, she’s usually wearing comfortable clothes and looks like she hasn’t slept in ages.

Doe is a bubbly and happy person most of the time. She likes to make friends and to talk to people. However, she’s also naturally nosey, which often makes people dislike or distrust her.

Doe is naturally curious and is always so interested in figuring things out, which makes her a really good Private Detective. She doesn’t like having a mystery in front of her that she cannot solve.

Being blessed with psychic abilities has helped with that sort of stuff.

Her state of undead hasn’t dimmed her spirits any either.

Doe isn’t the bravest person, however she will usually choose to go to the aid of those in trouble over fleeing in fear. However, when faced with something terrifying on her own, she has a tendency to forget completely about being brave and will freeze up or flee.

Doe was killed by a serial killer while working as a private detective/psychic during life. She had found the person who her the subject of her last job was in contact with and he, well, killed her.

Upon her soul being transferred to what amounts to a DMV for the dead, the Department of Afterlife Affairs, she was given a choice between just moving on with her process of being dead or being given the option of returning to life and continuing her work as a psychic medium and private detective for the supernatural. The big caveat of this was her memories had to be erased of her life because she might not keep to her duties if she remembered her old life.

Doe was all for this because she was also tasked with finding and stopping the man who killed her. Unfortunately, because she doesn’t remember her old life, she doesn’t remember the face of her killer.

Her caseworker, Mordicai Hugo, doesn’t offer too much help. He’s just happy to be in a world where he can pet cats.

THIRD EYE

Doe is able to concentrate on an object, person, or photograph to get visions of something to do with those objects. This can be exhausting if she does it too often in a 24 hour period and doesn't eat or sleep between the visions

UNWELCOME VISIONS

Whenever Doe becomes overly stressed or becomes very scared, she loses control of her powers. This can lead to unwelcome visions of the past, present, or future and almost always these are visions of terrible things.

TELEKENESIS OVERCHARGE

Since she died, a new psychic power unlocked for Doe. Unfortunately, Doe is not in complete control over it. She can lift small objects when she focuses really hard or she can throw bigger objects or people in moments of panic. Doe's Telekinesis can be formed into a shield around her in moments of full-on panic that she has no control over until she calms.

DETECTIVE'S EYE

Doe is a very good detective. She is able to pick out details that will help her figure out what needs to be done or investigated. She is very good at following clues or trails.
