An aspiring doctor and devout Catholic who loses everything after becoming a vampire.

Background

— Born to an affluent family on the coast of Maine, Henry never had to think twice about his future. His parents were always happy to support his ambitions of becoming a physician, no questions asked. But that all changed after he became a vampire during his medical residency.

— He remembers very little of the night he lost his humanity. His years of studying medicine couldn't have prepared him for the amount of blood andfluids, the terror of knowing he would soon meet his end, or... the surreal tinge of disappointment when, for reasons he couldn't comprehend, he survived.

— For a year after the incident, Henry isolated himself from society. He settled into a dusty old house covered in vines, intensely studying the Bible by day and sipping off local farm animals by night. At least until a private investigator, Nick, was hired to find him.

— While he couldn't pin down Nick's true motivations for helping him, Henry was taken by the idea of starting a new life as a private detective. With no more for him to lose, he followed Nick down to a little harbor town to begin their lives as occult investigators.

Personality

— Henry has a talent for analyzing things from every angle. His ideal evening includes a bottle of wine and a long, lively discussion on current affairs or a new case.

— Though he isn't a charismatic every-man like Nick, his great enthusiasm and wide vocabulary can be used to charm other people. Most people take his cosmopolitan naiveté at face value and never realize that he's a creature of the night.

— He was born with terrible vision. Despite that his eyesight became perfect after turning into a vampire, he just can't part from his eyeglasses.
