♦ Backstory: June was born in a normal family, with loving parents. She was originally a candy pink color with bright yellow eyes. One day, when she was 14 years old, June got kidnapped by mysterious individuals. From this moment, her parents never saw her again.                                  
Now in the hands of these mysterious people, and after being knock out so she wouldn't try to resists and ask too many questions, June realizes that she had been taken away from her parents and was completely under shock and confused. Little did she know, she was about to become one of the few unfortunate octolings to become subjects of all sort of experiments, in a secret laboratory implanted somewhere on a secret island that belonged to the Octarian Society-and- linked to the Army (as it was supposed to serve it, afterwards.) The victims included Lukas, April and Zane, but in total, it was about 50 octolings being held inside the organization. Soon enough, young June learns that it was from now on her only purpose of existence, before inevitably dying as well.
These experiments consisted in all kind, going from, as a start, injecting a fluid in the victim's blood to change their natural ink color and eyes, to a bright yellow with red tips, and infinite symbol shaped red eyes, signs of them belonging to the secret laboratory. From this point, they were also renamed "E-Octolings" for experiment, and all of them was given a codename, and wearing white suits. June was renamed E5.They would practically be like lab rats, used for testing various treatments, medications, even food and drinks, and if succeeded, used by the Army for the actual militaries and fighters. As a result, many octolings died from tests that had failed, or got killed by the medecines they received, surgeries, accidents, became like complete empty bodies with brains not responding, like dead inside, and developped unknown illnesses that were not curable. At the same time,none of these octolings were supposed to be saved even if they were dying, and even see the light out. The scientists did not care for them, they were literally using them like old tissues, and throwing them away to let them die when they were too weak and dying, so useless to them.

After hearing the Calamari Inkantation, some of the survivors (including June, Lukas, April and Zane) managed to walk to the surface after the scientists's souls were freed from hearing it. Although they were finally free and reached the surface, they are most likely to develop symptoms and illness in the next months or years. Considering all the nasty shit that got injected in their bodies, or ingested, their immune system was weakened, and some of their organs probably damaged. They all sort of accepted their fate, but at the same time they wanted to enjoy their time at the surface living a decent life together as much as they could. June walked to the surface along with Lukas, (E1) with whom she stayed for a while. Lukas was very ill tho, but June did her best to take of him and heal him. A few weeks later, they found April and Zane, and all together, they decided to form a team, (Team Legacy, named in honor of E-octolings, as they were survivors, so in a way, a legacy.) for the amount of time they had left, and win a Turf War championship that was coming up, in order to make a lot of money to pay their future hospital bills, get actual treatments and medications to treat their symptoms, and also keep money in case they found more survivors and help them as well. After they formed the team, they all decided to train and work very hard, in regular battles, and also ranked battles to develop more skills and learn teamwork. All of them showed incredible skills, regardless of their conditions. June became so good that she kept winning and winning, using the regular splat dualies. Lukas uses custom dualie squelcher, April uses heavy remix splatling, and Zane uses an e-liter.  

Settling down among inklings in Inkopolis wasn't much of an easy task.It wasn't for octolings in general, but for these particular ones it might had been a tad bit more difficult. Their physical appearance was attracting curiousity, and hostility, and their in game skills also intrigued. None of them were speaking inklish either, so they couldn't really communicate with them. Although they did want to be blend in with inklings and other octolings. After mutliple long hours of hard training and practice, day and night, and the tournament coming closer, the Team felt ready to go in, and was very determined to win it and become number 1. June looked at her splat dualies, and they were pretty damaged, since it was the only weapon she use. She had heard of a small shop that had just opened near the Square, Cid's repair shop, that fix damaged weapons, and even  customized them for a certain price. After gathering courage, June decided, one day, to go to the small shop, where she met Cid for the first time. It was a little bit awkward for her, because she didn't know how to express herself well enough, but she did start learning inklish, and could speak a little bit of it, mixed with octarian. There, they started talking a little bit, and Cid told her she saw her on TV mutliple times and was impressed with her skills. When June told her she wanted to participate to the upcoming tournament, Cid encouraged her, and told her she truly believed a new queen was born to win it. This touched June, and motivated her. Cid then offered to custom her splat dualies after completely fixing them, and made them white, with golden parts, and asked if she wanted an inscription on them. June answered "E5", in memory of her past.
After that, the both of them ran into each other some other time before Cid announces June that she was moving the shop away from the square. June wished to stay in contact with her, she was the first inkling to talk to her and be nice to her. They exhcanged numbers, and kept in contact regularly.

When the tournament finally came, Cid traveled to watch June and her team play. Without any trouble, they kept beating every single team, dominating the whole championship. As they climbed the ladder of victories, they got prepared to confront Team Emperor, that won the championship 3 times in a row before. Emperor was undeniably the King, to the people of Inkopolis, and was in no way ready to give his title away  to a "newbie team" as he refered to Team Legacy. Him and June were pretty much rivals at this point. As the first round started, Team Legacy fought Team Emperor showing great determination, but an obvious lack of experience, due to being a new team. They lost the first round to their opponents, but didn't lose hope a single seconde. June motivated her teammates to give their best, and that they were fighting for their "siblings." On the second round, Team Emperor was prepared for a similar strategy coming from their opponents, thinking they didn't have the necessary distance to think of a new plans after a defeat. But surprisingly, Team Legacy did set up different strategies to destabilize their opponents and surprise them.
June, being the slayer of the team, played in a more agressive way, showing skills and incredibly rapid movement and a clear mindset, with the support of her teammates. They countered all attacks and came victorious of the second round.
After a little break, the team cheered on, strongly believing in themselves to win the tournament in honor of the E-Octolings. Team Emperor on the other side was thinking very hard of a new plan, as for the first time, they were unable to predict the other team's plans. They were too spontaneous, and didn't show any sign of intimidation either. The final round consisted of a "battle royale" type. The last player eliminated/splatted wins with their team. More determined than ever, Team Legacy went in, although being the first one to lose a member, and then another one, shortly at the beginning of the match. It was now a 2V4, with Lukas and June, who gave each other a smirk of confidence, and kept the same positive mindset, wanting to give their best for their siblings. They countered attacks, fought back with no hesitation, eliminated two members of Team Emperor. Lukas was then splatted by Emperor, until it was only June against him and Eging Jr.The octoling showed great mindset, and easily countered the clash blaster's attacks on top of the dualies, dodge rolling in an unpredictable way and splatted Jr.
The game was almost over, it was now Emperor Vs. June, the two strongest players of this whole tournament. They were cheered on by fans and friends, but none of them was getting destabilized by the other, or at least didn't show it, but at this point, the King of Turf wasn't sure what to expect, even though he kept saying no one could beat him and take the title away from him. The final fight started, as both of them, using splat dualies, were trying to surprise one another with dodge rolls in unpredictable directions. But when one of Emperor's shots brushed her cheek, she lost her breath for a second, rolling back, as he was staring at her with an evil smirk. "You showed great skills for a newbie team. But your lack of experience is what's gonna stop you from beating me." "Lack...of experience...?" she thought in her head as her mind went blank for a few seconds,  feeling something boiling inside. Remembering all the stuff her and her siblings had been through before. This is when she gathered all the energy and strength she had left, as this one sentence triggered rage and a true desire of revenge. June ran in his direction, as he got ready to fire at her, but she did a double somersault firing back, and landed on him, locking him with her legs. "Not so bold, are you?" as she stared in his eyes, and finally splatted him.
People cheered on, as June and her team were declared the winners of the Turf War Championship. She fell back on the floor, feeling completely drained, when Cid and her teammates ran to the court and picked her up, congratulating her. Team Legacy did it, and earned the great title of Champions of Turf War, the money they needed for their future treatments, and June was given a golden crown, for being the last one alive during the final battle.

From this moment, Team Legacy was placed on a pedestal, admired and cheered by the residents of Inkopolis, especially June, who was now refered to as "The Queen", after the King, Emperor. The octolings then stopped doing battles for a while, and started a music band together a hobby. "Legacy" June was singing, along with Lukas time to time, April was doing the drums, Zane was occasionaly the Dj, droping sick beats, and along with Lukas, played various instruments. They would time to time do small concerts in bars etc.
A few weeks after, June stumbled upon Emperor during a fancy party in a club from Inkopolis. It was mostly a party for rich people, but June really joined it to get to know more people. She was wearing a fancy silk red dress, jewelry, and her crown. When their gazes met, Emperor smirked at her, but June didn't really show expression and stayed from a distance, until he actually walked in her direction to salute her. They engaged a small conversation, Emperor sipping his wine. "Congratulation on stealing my title. But i remain and will always remain a King. That also doesn't mean i can't take it back from you." as he smirked, June glared at him. "I don't mean any disrespect towards you, but i do believe your glorious days have gone, King." She smirked, and then walked away, as he looked at her leaving, a bit dazed. From that moment, he knew he'd want to meet her again.

♦ Curiosities:
- The E-Octoling survivors refer to each other as "siblings". It's likely that some other octolings have survived, and have yet to be found by June and her teammates.
- June's parents have most likely been sanitized during the events of Octo Expansion, and probably died as well, while trying to search for their daughter. She was told that they died shortly after reaching the surface.
- She also sings, and has a music band with the members of her team (Team Legacy). Her and Lukas sang Warm Weather .
- The red color that the E-Octolings originally had on the tip of their tentacles ended up fading away as they lived on at the surface.
- She and Neva, both being crown X players, often pair in ranked battle.
- Some people think that she could become a model because of her perfect traits, but she's too small for it.
