-Beelzebub's realm is structured like a tropical rainforest (Forest Floor, Understory, Canopy Layer, Emergent Layer). Beelzebub lives on the top layer. The subjects start on the floor, and as time passes during their sentence, they get to go to higher levels. Once they reach the emergent layer, they "emerge" from the realm, because their sentence is over.
-Because of this structure, Beelzebub only interacts with his subjects one time during their sentence, which is right before they leave Hell and get reincarnated. Other than that, he's alone most of the time, unless he's called through his jewel or is paid a visit by one of his friends. He does feel lonely at times, but has learned to deal with it over the thousands of years he's been in power
-The sin of Gluttony is described as "Taking more essential goods, which in turn causes harm to others", so it is not specifically linked to food (although food is one of those essential goods). In order to counter this, his human subjects are part of a game of "survival" throughout their sentence, experiencing tiredness and hunger unlike subjects from other realms (even though they still can't "die" again). Essentially, they are reduced to the bare minimum that they forced others into through their gluttony, and now have to adapt to living with it. As they move up in layers, the challenge becomes increasingly more difficult, usually to the point of forcing them into starvation. Since human souls can't die, they're stuck feeling at the edge of death, until eventually, their sentence is over.
-Beelzebub's entourage of demons are shapeshifters that take pride in becoming whatever he desires. Most of them are ordered to turn into wild animals from the mortal world, although a select few assume the form of another human subject, in order to trick the actual human subjects to fall into traps.
-Beelzebub is absolutely enamored by nature, especially Earth's wildlife.
