RYQEKT is the form that Reid took on during his status as a shadow god (previous to his status as a god). RYQEKT was the shadow to Ulysses, who had very liberal ideas regarding how to build and run a planet as a god and wrote them all down in a giant tome. When Ulysses died, he handed this tome off to RYQEKT and requested that they please try to act upon everything he'd observed and written in the book. This is why when RYQEKT became Reid and began to build the Earth, from the early steps it was quite different from what everyone else had been doing up until that point.
