Description

Hazel grew up as a regular girl, albeit with some quirky traits. Obedient, kind, always getting good grades - the type that would always follow and respect her parents' wishes. Her kindness and easy-going personality meant she was generally liked by her peers and thus she was relatively popular throughout her school years. Regardless of this, she always felt like she wasn't being true to herself - like her image was one she only upheld because it was expected of her.

Once Hazel became an adult and left for university, she started to finally discover who she was and what she liked and wanted. This is also when she found out she has AuDHD, which explained a lot and also helped give her a sense of direction. When she met her best friend, Emily, in her second year of university, the ball really started to roll. Emily would often encourage and support Hazel's road of self-discovery, and as someone who was into the more alternative scene herself... she was able to give pointers and recommendations when needed.

Little by little, Hazel explored those aspects of herself. She started dyeing her hair, trying various outfit styles, and later on she also began getting piercings and tattoos. She also began exploring the world of witchcraft and spirituality, the interest being sparked after attending various themed events. Although she is not a firm believer, she does like to incorporate aspects of these things in her daily life - whether for inspiration or other purposes.

After she finished university, Hazel started working at a regular office. She hated it, it bored her to no end. After fighting herself on the topic, she decided to start working towards setting up her own business. It took a few years and a lot of time, effort and money, but eventually she managed to open up her own Bookstore Café. She considers it her pride and joy and is incredibly passionate about it.

Next to running her own business, she also takes on various freelance commission work for artsy projects. Whenever she's not working, she likes to hang out with her friends. More often than not this involves Emily and their friend group from university.

Hazel never had much success when it comes to dating. Sure... she has had many flings and interested guys, but never did it go much further than the first few months. Either they expected something else from her, or she grew bored of them quickly. Then, she stumbled (quite literally) into a chill skater guy - Lucas. Perhaps she has finally met her match?
