Character
History
In an unhappy beginning, the boy was born to a few drow parents, but when he was remarkably young (3 years old) they had supposedly disappeared under mysterious circumstances (which Soren predicts to be death). Soren remembers nothing more than the scene of yelling and having his little finger pricked before winding up alone. Luckily, though, he wasn't doomed to die. In what could be considered a sheer miracle, a second chance, the boy had caught the sights of the demon lord, Errtu. It was in that moment the boy forged a warlock pact with the fiend, giving him a chance at survival in the Underdark. Errtu had also given him the name "Soren," replacing whatever one he had prior to his parents' disappearances.
Childhood
Childhood went about as smoothly as you would expect it to. A demonic voice in a child's head could only do so

Errtu
[ Patron, Father ] Soren holds great admiration for his patron. The higher demon has been with him since he was a small child, guiding and caring for him to the point that Soren refers to him as his father. As much as he openly respects his father, Soren can't help but think that Errtu thinks a little small regarding his plans for chaos and power. He holds so much power, after all, there's more he could be doing than dividing and conquering, but that's just him. If anything, the Drow holds more contempt for his father whenever he treats Soren like a child. It's a toss up when that happens, but when it does Soren becomes absolutely livid.
Zeldes Dulexath
[ Acquaintance ] Zeldes does not have Soren's respect whatsoever. In fact, he's a prime example of why Soren doesn't respect adults, period. The Triton's seafaring ways haven't left a stellar impression, and it's come across as quite barbaric and crude, the exact opposite of Soren. Unfortunately for him, he's stuck with the former sailor, considering it a much safer option than roaming alone while he's a primary target. He'll continue to grumble about it in his private journals for the foreseeable future, though.
Kettle
[ Acquaintance ] Of all his companions, Soren finds Kettle to be the most tolerable. The small Kenku has been rather kind and helpful to him since they've met, and Soren considers him to be less of a liability than Zeldes. Although he doesn't mind Kettle's company, Soren doesn't have much interest in communicating with him, still prefering to keep to himself, his father, and his journal. Well, at least silent company isn't off the table.
Felarian
[ Acquaintance ] After getting to talk with Felarian, Soren has come to the conclusion that this drow is absolutely hopeless. Learning that he was raised by non-drow on the surface has placed Felarian into the non-threatening category, and Soren most certainly feels more superior than the young adult. His ignorance about drow culture grates on Soren, and he absolutely doesn't like it when Felarian calls him "Little brother."
Entry 1: Soren doesn't trust Felarian one bit, but that's mostly due to his experience in the Underdark. He can't even give a proper reason as to why he doesn't like Felarian, it's just that ingrained lack of trust. Despite being one of the calmer members of the party, small actions like his alliance with Zeldes are what's pushing Soren to keep his distance, and he probably will for a while.
