Fursona (Darkwater Trader)

A merchant NPC first encountered in Darkroot Garden, Darkwater Trader will buy and sell various swords to the Chosen Undead. After the first encounter he will also become available in other water areas of the world, summoned by interacting with large tombstones similar to the one he's first seen sitting on.

Little is known about the Darkwater Trader, though his scaled lower body might suggest a connection with the man serpents. He appears to be enthusiastic about swords and will provide information about swords the player presents to him, and his questline involves taking a precious stone to a Blacksmith to forge him a sword and then deliver it back to him.

• His eyesight is poor and he uses his forked tongue to interact with his surroundings.
  
  
• This NPC can’t be killed, but will close his services and move to unreachable areas if the player hits him more than once.
  
  
• His model is smaller than the player model, though his position on top of the tombstone he sits on makes him appear taller.
  
  
• He’s loosely based on the Lady of the Lake and his attire resembles mourning gowns.
