A necromancer who is absolutely terrified of his own powers. 

To stop the dead from rising, this Fun Guy lives alone in a swamp surrounded by magically enhanced mushrooms that consume dead matter at an alarming rate. He waits for the day when he too dies and his body is fed to his fungal friends. The only service he will perform for others is mortuary; he will take dead bodies off your hands and ensure they can never be raised from the dead. Many magic users come to him for this reason, they too fearing necromancy for what it can do. 

Skittish and paranoid, Marcellus always wears synthetic clothing, rubber gloves, and a face mask to avoid contact with dead matter. The face mask is based on an outdated magical theory that necromancers are constantly bringing dead skin cells back to life, especially in dust which he does not want to breathe in. He lives in a lab carved out of a giant mushroom that he claims grew that large because the bodies of mages introduce ecologically dangerous nutrients into the soil, causing overgrowth...which he very much encourages.
