Auri is a very cold, quiet person with little to no knowledge of civility. She would rather not talk simply because she is afraid to speak out of line. However, in the few times she does speak, it is either a very rude retort or a wise piece of advice. She has had a rough life, and her mind is a little broken. However, this allows her to be quite understanding towards others and she is able to sympathize with them. She has a prominent affinity to birds.
Background
Auri Featherflight was abandoned at birth in the middle of a dangerous place; the silent jungle. In this place, everything is dead quiet and the creatures here hunt based entirely on sound. Being an elemental of air, the sentient birds on the island took a liking to her and took her under their wings. There she was raised as part of their flock, taught how to hunt and preen. She lived like this all the way through young adulthood. Through this time, she never spoke a single word.
Suddenly, the island was raided by a large group of explorers. When she was found, she was kidnapped along with several of her sentient bird friends. They brought her to a large noble city, where she was sold at auction and given the title "The Bird-Woman". She was sold to a nobleman who assaulted her on every occasion he possibly could. However, Auri escaped some time during the night and fled. She found a much nicer, friendlier host family that taught her how to speak, read, write and do basic skills. Eventually, her host family realized that she was very talented with a sword, and sent her to the Cathedral in Celeste to study under the renowned Warpriest Laurent. There, she was taught the way of Iomedae. Francois Laurent and her became close friends, though she went missing some time ago.
