Significant Other
-
Undine is in a polycule with Armerane Anarca, Lunella Kensida, and his friend Atelestia Keaton. He and Atelestia are not necessarily dating. Undine and Armerane have a quasiplatonic relationship, while Undine and Lunella are starting to share an odd, understated sort of romantic attraction as if they've been married for decades.
-
Family
-
Undine hardly remembers his parents and honestly couldn't care less about them. He remembers his ex-wife, though. And the way their relationship failed still haunts him sometimes.
-
Physical Description
-
Visibly older and more weathered down than Tenor, he has a bonier figure and less soft, less bright and healthy skin. His hair is fashioned into a much more sensible ponytail that still curls into a long ringlet out of habit.
-
Personality
-
Undine is reserved to the point of seeming a little cold sometimes. This is because he has virtually no confidence or faith in himself, and he fears that something he says or does is going to ruin everything... Somehow. He isn't sure how, but it's going to happen somehow. He's always at least slightly stressed out by something, no matter how small that thing may be in the moment. Atelestia often pushes him into situations where he has to prove that he is more capable, intelligent and competent than he thinks he is, tasks in which he has to be the person Atelestia knows he can be. In fact, it's because of this behavior of Atelestia's that the two of them met their future partners.

Backstory
-
Antigone was crueler. Tenor was not given his opportunity, so Tenor was cruel too. Of course, Tenor figured himself out eventually and started trying to change who he was later down the line - but he had no idea what to do, and he had virtually no support from anyone. So rather than going through healthy, productive changes like the canon Tenor does, Tenor simply started abusing himself in an attempt to make amends, and he damaged his own mind and personality too much to be anything but a miserable wreck. His marriage with one of the travelers who discovered him failed pretty spectacularly, despite how hard he tried to change every part of himself for her and despite how much both of them worked to make things... Well, work. But they didn't work, and Undine is even worse off for it.

Undine is an offshoot from Tenor in another universe, for whom not everything goes exactly as he'd like it to in the beginning. But he
ends up with everything he needs.
