Lunetha's universe was written with the intent of playing with JRPG tropes and, as such, takes place in a largely typical "fantasy medieval Europe"-style setting. Her country is called Adelheld, part of a world called Ludgera. Adelheld is a classic monarchy heavily influenced by the Church of Light, which worships the god Caleigh. Magic is commonplace and a part of everyday life, ranging from combative spells to quality-of-life-use enchantments to alchemy, though not everyone can use it. While Adelheld is full of magical monsters such as elementally-enchanted animals, it lacks for sapient nonhumans. While demons, whose true forms are shadowy, ethereal, and pointy, may be considered exceptions, they are entirely confined to their own realm. This is a somewhat recent change; hardly twenty years ago, the Legendary Heroes conquered an invasion of demonkind and liberated the land. The Legendary Heroes who fought off the invasion in the name of Caleigh still live and have great influence on the country, which is still recovering from its war.
