Evicted from Ruthersburg at the age of two with her family because of the threat of vitrification of covenants, Raphael was raised as a refugee for several years on Harmony's inner colony. She received a normal school education until 2534, or at the age of eight, she was again changed places (her parents wanting a fresh start away from the fiercely loyal UHC home colonies) and came to settle in the mixed colony of Azara, in the Gulf of Hades, and under the protection of NADO.
Within this new colony sheltering a few hundred thousand souls, mainly humans and Ungoys, but also some Sangheilis and Kig-Yar, Raphael learned the living and mixing skills and allowed himself after some time to bury the irrational fear of Covenants who had been rooted in his heart since a young age. When she finished school, she turned to studying medicine. She was in her second year of learning when the unthinkable happened.
A pirate fleet attacked the colony and in addition to massacring many citizens and looting the stored resources, many settlers were captured, including Raphael. She was tortured for many months and her mind was broken and she forgot about this traumatic event when NADO forces came to rescue the enslaved settlers by killing the pirates to the last. Amazed by her rescuers who wore NADO and SSO uniforms, a sudden impulse made her want to engage to protect the weak and avenge her slaughtered parents.
But reason prevailed over instinct and she chose to finish her studies before committing, which she did. Full of life and active Raph is smiling, releasing an aura of good humor around her. Most of the time, especially when she does not know her teammates, she remains shy and unsure because of her amnesia, but once she knows that she can trust you, she becomes nice and talkative. You can always count on her. She is brave and fights well!
On mission, she is nevertheless relatively calm, taking the time to speak, paying attention to all that can be around her, the success of the mission is a priority and she gives herself entirely to this one . When Raphael takes care of a patient, nothing matters except his survival and potential evacuation. She also spends a lot of time, especially at night, during her many insomnia playing simulation and strategy games on her personal computer.
Raphael is also very faithful, even if she respects her code of honor, she knows how to ask herself and make the difference, while also being an attentive ear for her teammates and friends, if they have a problem.
