His sister! Who's kind of dead right now. He misses her a lot but doesn't like bringing it up too much, too sad. They were super close and would basically do everything together even though she was 2 years older than him. He hopes to make contact with ghosts one day so that he might have a chance to talk to her again.
Her brother! She misses him a lot now but she's too busy reaping the souls of humans to say hi to him, also it's super illegal for reapers to talk to humans who aren't almost about to die. She took a job as a reaper so that he wouldn't die in the same car crash that killed her.
His friend. Cecil and August met in a Humanities lecture in their Sophomore years of college. There was something about August that interested him, Cecil assumed he had a crush on him. He asked August out a couple of times but since he's dense as fuck about those things, he never picked up on them being dates. Cecil then invited him to join the Paranormal Club on campus which was just Cecil and his other friends. August told him he thought that supernatural stuff was a bunch of bullshit, but agreed to join.
His best friend. Cecil and August met in a Humanities lecture in their Sophomore years of college. Cecil sat next to him and started inviting him to study sessions at the campus coffee shop. August was happy to make friends because he currently had none. He was still getting used to being August his Freshman year and didn't really talk to many people. Cecil seemed to really want to be his friend and August really liked hanging out with him, so he agreed to join the Paranormal Club, also because he thought a demon being a ghost hunter was hilarious. He likes ribbing Cecil about demons not being real.
His best friend in high school. She was the only other trans person he knew and she seemed cool and approachable enough so Cecil started hanging out with her. It turned out they had a common interest in the supernatural, but Neptune was more of an alien hunter than a ghost one. They and their group of friends were considered the cool AP kids and they did most extracurricular activities together. When everyone split off for college, Cecil and Neptune were the only ones going to the same school. They still hang out and go to Paranormal Club, but since college, they haven't been as close as they were. However they can both still count on each other completely, and definitely won't ever stop being friends.
Her best friend in high school. Someone let it slip to the rest of the school that she was trans her sophomore year. Neptune was terrified that everything was going to fall apart around her, but her friends made it clear that anyone who messed with her was going to regret it, and so nobody said or did anything. When she met Cecil she was so happy to know another trans person and they immediately started hanging out. His friend's girlfriend. Cecil and Mazie both share an interest in ghosts, but hers is a lot more witchy. It doesn't matter to Cecil though, he likes hearing her perspective on everything. He thinks she's super cool and they occasionally hang out together without Neptune, just to talk ghosts and music. Mazie's also a year ahead of Cecil in math so she helps him out if he gets stuck on something.
Her girlfriend's friend. Mazie thinks Cecil is super funny, and the only person she trusts to look over her essays. She doesn't quite get the more scientific approach to ghost hunting, but she thinks all of the gadgets and stuff are super cool. She's always happy to provide crystals or spells during a ghost hunt though. Mazie also likes to keep an eye on CDs she thinks Cecil would like that come through the CD store she works at. She will convince him to listen to music not made on an acoustic guitar only.
