Videra Cross

Vidi resents Elma for not giving her access to her own information, but in reality Elma is guarding her from the knowledge that she's connected to one of the higher ups, and that she never wanted to survive earth in the first place. She was given her spot on the White Whale by her father, who she never had a very good relationship with, especially following the death her of mother when she was around 10. He'd seemingly had no reaction beyond moving Videra in with a family they knew, and paying them to take care of her. They treated her well and she got along with them, becoming close friends with their kids (who were around her own age) and her few school friends. When news came of the incoming threat and the extremely slim chance of them getting to board the ship, Vidi and her friends made a promise to never leave each other and essentially die together.

Some time after, to Videra's frustration she was contacted by her father and notified that she was to be scanned for a mim; that she would survive earth and continue living. She tried her best to argue, but to no avail. Her last memory while being scanned was being determined to die and stay dead, refusing to live without her friends and family. Elma had happened to overhear part of their argument, and remembering that, decided to keep an eye on her after recovering her from the lifepod. After the events of chapter 12, being revived in a new mim and regaining her memory, Videra is significantly less hostile towards her.

  Technically she could get them removed, but Aesthetic
• Loves Progen and Monoceros, and greatly dislikes fighting them and will avoid having to do so
  May or may not have possibly adopted a baby lightning Progen. She also may or may not have named it Kraig
• Absolutely terrified of any mech bigger than a human-made skell
  Tbh she's not much a fan of skells at the start either, but eventually warmed up to them once she got her skell license
• Never actually got her driver's license. As such, she's particularly terrible at driving giant shape-shifting robots
  This does improve over time, especially after acquiring an Ares 90
  Significantly less terrible at flying skells in general
• Always has at least one cat out in the barracks
  Sometimes lets more than one be active at the same time
  Once had a dog active as well as a few cats. This turned out to be a bad idea
• Originally wore the dark version of Elma's token gear out of spite, kept it for aesthetic
• Despite having no memories of earth, she'll occasionally refer to Photon Sabers as 'Lightsabers'
• Saltiest dorito in the known universe

• "You did great, especially for a non-combatant! And it was actually kinda fun, too."
• (regarding removing her scars) "Yeah, I know I could, but i've gotten used to them, and they're actually kinda cool? Maybe? I don't know, but I think I'll keep 'em for now, at least."
• "Is that... a laser... sword? How do I get one of those?"
• "I hope you don't mind that I keep asking you out on missions like this, it's just way less stressful being around you rather than you-know-who. If you'd like, I could help out with some of yours?"
• "... Is no one going to ask how a dog ended up so high on a cliff in the middle of Oblivia? No? Ok."
• "Hey. I didn't see a rule about the number of pet-bots you could have out at one time. If you won't let me have a progen colt in here, let me at least have my robot-cat army."
• "'Don't listen to him'? Are you serious, after all this time of putting up with you, I'm finally close to getting some answers and you want me to ignore that? No, no, NO! I'm sick and tired of always having to do every little thing you say while you keep hiding things from us, from me! Mission be damned, I'm not taking orders from you anymore!"'
• "It's a good thing you... ended up bringing me along, yeah? I can't... believe you all were just... gonna watch him... drown..."
