Lilje works with healing minor illness and other issues within a smaller village with her herbs and smaller healing abilities. She sometimes gets sought ut from other surrounding villages and towns, but she tries to keep her business lowkey to not draw too much attention to herself.

One special reoccuring guest has been a knight from the kings guards who wishes to escape his nightmares and inner demons from his missions as a knight. Lilje first attempted to use herbs for this, but decides to try using her healing hands when the herbs didn't work. Using her gifts for bigger healing like this where the magic is easier to detect can be risky as there are those who target people with powers. Lilje asks him to lie down and close his eyes and then proceeds to extract his bad thoughts and other demons out of his soul like in this picture.

Vex, the knight, feels lighter and more carefree instantly after the treatment and is very thankful. As he comes back for more treatments they get to know each other and form a bond. There is some cute tension when Lilje does physical check-ups like putting her hand on his forehead.

One sunny autumn day a witch hunter comes into the area, looking for abnormalities and anyone who seems like they belong on a burning stake. Vex catches word of this and worries for Lilje's safety. He arranges for her to work for his king by helping out with her healing expertise. This way she is under the king's and his own protection. The transition is a bit hard on Lilje, as she is used to keeping to herself. She feels a bit trapped between the castle walls, but enjoys Vex's company when he comes back from his duties.

It doesn't take long before the witch hunter is on the king's doorstep, and with their silver tongue, they convince the king that it would only be right to burn anyone who could be a witch. Vex is too late when he finds out Lilje has been taken to be burned on suspicion of being a witch.

Lilje is brought down to the townplace and tied to a stake, but as they are about to light the pire her tears and desperation calls on witch rain, which puts out the flames. The burning is postponed and she is thrown into the king's prison to await better weather. Vex manages to figure out her location and attempts to free her, but gets beat up by the prison guards. Watching this from her cell, Lilje begs them to leave him be, but this falls to deaf ears. Her fear of him getting vitally hurt causes her magic to flip the switch and have the opposite of a healing effect. The guards fall dead to the ground.

The two escape the castle and have to run far away from the kingdom. Maybe ill do a sad ending idk hmm. Or the witch hunter hunts them down. Or they start a new calm life in another kingdom. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
