Kioko Batts

kioko should've been set for life. dinner parties and expensive things, given whatever she wanted on a silver platter. the only problem... that life got boring. it was fun at first- having almost anything she wanted, but after a while she started to get ideas.

she wanted to push- to break out of the feeling she was given, and instead, she focused on running away. if she lived a different life, even for one night, maybe she would feel better. experience what it was like to be a homeless runaway chasing the train down the tracks to go somewhere new. she never got to that point- but she did spend nights in the dirty, rotten corners of the city. it was almost comforting, in some ways. seedy underbellies are normal when it comes to families like hers- and though she didn't know if any corruption ran through her blood, getting to pretend that that was what put her in these back alleys was fun. she was playing, almost.

of course, gods forbid she has a little fun, and her brother found her. he lectured her for ages, all about how she shouldn't be running off and could've gotten hurt.

that only egged her on.

she kept running away- kept trying to make something of a life where she had nothing. eventually, she started running with a gang, even! the monarchs seemed to take her in easily, and she was grateful to the kingpin for that. it's been... strange, getting used to this life, but she's happy to be in it. she works intel, mainly- keeping an eye out at dinner parties now, listening in on conversations she shouldn't be hearing, reporting back whatever she learns. its a fun job, and she's more than happy to keep doing it! finally, its given her stuffy life at home some actual freedom.
