Figures that the most reasonable and smart person on the shining force would be a scientist.
Jaxon is a very intelligent person; he's the most knowledgeable and reasonable on the team. He can be patient...but not with his own team. He will almost scream at his team if they ever mess up, since he is not afraid to yell at all. He's a bit of a smartass as well, always getting irritated when someone says something that is completely wrong and will not hesitate to point out anyone's flaws. He can be reasonable, but not exactly nice.

Oh boy, the emotionally repressed asshole is always touch-starved! Who would have guessed!
He was raised in New Lumos, becoming a scientist and working there for a while. But one day their facility was anonymously commissioned to create these dark beings (the kings + the dark sun) for them. And once the scientists made them the dark beings went on a rampage killing a lot of people (including people close to Jaxon) and Jaxon barley escaped to the main land of Miitopia. Since then he's always blamed himself for the death of his home country.

These two are complete and polar opposites, and because of this, Jem has challenged Jaxon to be his rival throughout their journey together, even though they're on the same team. They have the most heated battles together, constantly fighting and clashing whenever they have a disagreement. But deep down, they both love each other, and are too emotionally constipated to admit that.
And I thought we were starting to have a little fun...
Jasmine use to have a thing for Jaxon, right until she found out he was gay, after that she backed off, and now they bicker at each other for no reason other then they hate each other's guts. Jaxon hates Jasmine's constant whining and clinginess, and Jasmine hates Jaxon when he's a smartass all the time. But surprisingly, they know a lot about each other, and vent when it's necessary.

Ken may not realize it, but Jaxon admires their leadership skills and will to overcome their faults. In a way, Jaxon envies them. Ken still thinks that Jaxon is a mysterious asshole who won't open up about his problems, and always inflates his ego. But they try to help and understand him as much as they can, they think he's still valuable to the team and a dear friend.
