Potholers' Protest Blockades Police Blockage
Cont. from page 1
Gorron
Ogof has been cordoned off for 6 days now, by both local Police and the
Coastguard. After a few early break-in attempts, security was tightened
and access now appears impossible, much to the dismay of local
potholers and fishers.
Porthmôr and West Gorron Potholer's
Association (PWGPA), which have previously disavowed trespassers, have
now banded together to blockade the only road access to the cave. They
demand Kinkleshire Police investigate the whereabouts of two members
who have been missing for 11 days, since before the first reported
disappearance earlier this week.
Brianna and Rhys Cyl, 34 and 27, told PWGPA they planned
to descend along Trinity's Path to the famous Aber Morgi, where the
ill-fated pair would brave the bitter cold to catch inland shark fry.
They were never seen nor heard from again, and were reported missing
that evening by Rasharn Davids, 52, treasurer of the Association.
"We're
being given the run-around," said Davids, who maintains that the pair
are trapped or injured in the cave. Porthfawr Cave Rescue, which still
covers the entirety of the historic county, told Davids that they could
find no sign of human activity in the caves and that they believe the
pair did not descend as they had originally indicated. Brianna and Rhys
are being trated as missing persons by Kinkleshire Police, who are
co-ordinating with neighbouring police forces to widen the search area.
Poor eyesight, near to blindness, yet reacts well to movement and increase or reduction in light.
Generates an enormous amount of bodily heat. This would be inexplicable
even were it an endotherm, but its apparently amphibious nature makes
this an even greater mystery. Could this quality be the reason for its
preference of cool habitat?
