𝔏The youngest of four, Reedpaw has always been the baby. After their parents passed, they were raised by their older siblings and foster Queens in the nursery. Immune to the disease that killed their parents, they feel as though there must be a reason they survived while Cedarlight and Hareflight didn't. They're determined to prove all their sibling's efforts were worth it, and that them surviving wasn't a waste. There has to be a reason Reedpaw survived when they didn't, right?

Kithood (0–6 moons)

Noisy from the start, Reedkit was born with an endless pool of energy to burn. They were always up to something; either sneaking out of the nursery or tagging along with their older brother to cause trouble. As the youngest, they were smothered in affection, but they weren't spoiled. Reedkit was a singleton, and with their siblings– Pollenprairie, Cougarstrike, and Pineslip– already newly made warriors, they didn't really play much with the other kits. Besides, why would they want to play with Mallowkit? He's bossy, and rude, and mean! While they wouldn't admit it, Cougarstrike was their favourite. He was fun and loud, and the two were two peas in a pod, but that didn't mean they didn't like their other brother and sister any less.
But their kithood wouldn't stay peaceful forever.
It started with Hareflight. The silver tom grew ill, and one day their dad just... stopped visiting the nursery. "He'll be okay, don't worry. He's just a little sick," everyone always said, but Reedkit still heard their anxious whispers and saw the way they glanced at one another. Then Cedarlight started hacking up bile, dark blood dribbling from her nose. Their siblings moved Reedkit out of the nursery after that. The Rot took Hareflight and Cedarlight that night, but not little Reedkit. They hear their Clanmates talking about how lucky they were, but Reedkit doesn't feel lucky.
Apprenticehood (6–12 moons)

Now one of the many new apprentices in Ridgeclan, Reepaw is eager to leave their mark. Despite their siblings worries over their mentor, Eaglemask– Pollenprairie's ex mate– they're proving themself to be a hard worker and determined young cat. Hard to pin down, they always find a way back onto their paws, figuratively and literally. Something's going on with the clans, and Reedpaw is determined to figure out what, especially after the third gathering.
When Cypressstar announced that Breezeclan had been attacked the night before by the undead, taking several lives, Reedpaw was terrified. Comforted by a Mistclan warrior, Coyotestalk, he returns them to Timberheart and their clanmates, but they can't shake the growing feeling of dread. Would the dead target them next? Would their mom and dad come back and– no, that wouldn't happen. But it already did, didn't it? First to Mistclan, and now Breezeclan. Reedpaw kept having nightmares after that; their parents clawing their way out of their graves, dragging their limp, decaying bodies back up to the cavern.
