Structure

Bellamy finds peace in plans and in structure, so they try to always have one in mind for whatever could go wrong. In their chosen path, it's a necessity — but Bellamy has always liked preparedness.

Loyalty

Despite their past, Bellamy's view on loyalty has never soured. They are always staunchly loyal to their friends and to people who help them, and on jobs Bellamy is loyal to whoever they're working with. They just make sure that they have an idea of what to do in case their loyalty isn't returned.

Trivia

  • They can't resist a good meal or a good drink — it's their weakness.
  • They chose their name when they were 12, after their biological dad.

About

Bellamy has always been observant and good at figuring things and people out. They've always known when to listen, when to be seen, and when to disappear—when they were young, it was a game. As an adult, it's their living. They value loyalty, structure, and rules, and they aren't hard on themself but has a code of conduct that they always make sure to follow. They've been burned before, but they endeavoured to make that just be something that would turn them into someone more careful and better at what they do.

Childhood

Bellamy was born to a Cerys, a half-elf woman, and Bellamy, a human man (although he was not given the name Bellamy at birth). They were loving parents for three years, but they died of a disease that managed not to claim the toddler Bellamy. Aya Sirani, a distant relative of Bellamy's father, adopted the kid when they found out, along with her wife Keegan. Aya and Keegan had a child already, a five-year-old son named Davis, and so they became a four-person household. They lived in the South Shrin, a shitty neighborhood of their city, and the moms were often busy. But the household was a loving one, Bellamy and Davis got along, and the kids were brought up in a good home. Bellamy named themself after their biological father when they were 12, and the whole family was supportive of their new name and pronouns.

Teenage Delinquent

As an older teenager, Bellamy fell in with some delinquent ‘friends.’ They seemed like any other impulsive teenagers at a first glance, but they were more of a little gang the more you realized what they were doing. Bellamy was completely loyal to them and believed they were the same way towards him. He learned most of his trade from these ‘friends’, and as it turns out, Bellamy was fantastic at espionage and gathering info — primarily, at first, just from other ‘gangs’ and the like, and he got good quickly.

This was how Bellamy became, essentially, a henchman for one of their friends, Iago, who was the ‘gang’ leader. They were trusted and their job was to find out whatever was needed, and they were good at it. Except that once, when they were 20, Bellamy made a bad mistake. They gave Iago bad intel; it wasn't on purpose and Bellamy thought it was good, but it din't work and caused Iago to miss out on intercepting a rival dealer. Iago swore that he understood it was an honest mistake and nothing would happen, and Bellamy believed it. But as revenge, Iago betrayed Bellamy ang gave them giving them a bad job on purpose, where he knew the outcome would be jail—or worse.

New Outlook

Luckily for Bellamy, there was someone with eyes on him. Lady Mahli Buonaire, an aristocrat, was a woman who liked to keep an eye on bad neighborhoods to scout for underworld talent. She knew of Bellamy and had seen promise in him and bailed him out of the consequences of his capture. The promise, in no uncertain terms for Bellamy, was that he now owed her, and would work for Lady Buonaire whenever she asked him to. She would give Bellamy a lot of leeway, and she wouldn't require him very often, but if she needed him, he had to be there; aside from that, her protection only etended to jobs done for her and not for others.

From then on, Bellamy has focused on mastering their skills to make sure they won’t fall for something like Iago's trick again, and that they will never again make such a critical mistake. Their loyalty to Lady Buonaire is strong, but Bellamy guards themself more than before. In recent years, Bellamy hasn't been able to spend as much time in their home neighborhood and travels around a lot, but a lot of their earnings go to supporting their moms. Bellamy follows their specific code of conduct, and always double-checks any information they get.
