The oldest resident in Noachis, Selah started out as an assistant to Rafferty’s grandfather and agreed to work for his family after his passing. A teenaged Selah sailed in to Noachis when it was a small port town and the University was still growing in prestige. The Worship had been established for over a hundred years by the time she arrived. She joined in the study of the Mysticeti at the University and became very close to Rafferty’s grandfather when he started gaining power in the town, appreciating his ambition and fearlessness in the pursuit of knowledge. Morality isn’t of concern to Selah. She is generally congenial because it is convenient when dealing with others, but she can be extremely blunt and come across as rude and condescending to those who don’t know her personality.
While she doesn’t prefer to exert herself, she is a powerful warrior and even more powerful warlock. She acts quickly and with full force if she feels threatened. More often than not, Rafferty has had to clean up after her messes and she has an uneasy relationship with the townsfolk.
Selah thinks of herself as higher than most people around her, and thinks of Rafferty as the only one close to her level. She hopes to cultivate her powers enough to be noticed by the Great Old Ones from whom she draws her power, and she feels like the Mysticeti might be key to this.
