Positive

Knowledgeable > He’s like a sponge when it comes to knowledge. Of course it’s more for his specific hyperfixations, but either way, he’s a very well-informed cat and is someone to go to if you forget about something. 

“Down to Earth” > He’s a genuine cat, what you see is how he truly is, nothing is fake about him (and he’s very obvious if he tries). He’s got practical and realistic views, usually trusting his common sense and solutions over ideals. It makes him someone to easily trust. 

Enthusiastic > When he’s interested in something, he’s painfully obvious about it in that he asks many questions and is more attentive than he usually is. When it comes to sharing info, he’s VERY excitable and eager to share. Less of an ego thing and more that he just genuinely enjoys sharing things with others. 

Neutral

Codependent > He’s very dependent on others and their support, it may get annoying to others and make it seem like he’s been a leech. But he gives back what he wants/gets (depending on what it is), making him reliable and loyal at times, so it can be beneficial.  

Chill > Pearl is what you would call “chill”- he’s very laidback and easygoing. Little things don’t worry him. But he’s like that to such a degree that he comes across as being lazy… which is true, he can be quite lazy. 

Overcautious > He’s very cowardly when faced with danger or potential danger, he’s much more likely to flee or suggest for others to ignore something and go on their day rather than face it. But when he can pull himself together OR if anyone he cares about is in danger/wants to face it, he can be very brave. He cares too much and values his relationships to not help. 

Negative

Insecure > Pearl is very self-conscious and self-critical of himself, and he has a difficulty accepting when people try to compliment his insecurities. He puts himself down and fears that others think the same so he, regardless if he believes them or not, seeks out validation. He has a habit of masking it though, typically appearing overconfident to not draw attention to his insecurities (though his genuinity makes it backfire). 

Impulsive > Surprisingly enough, Pearl can be impulsive. He can do things without thinking and not consider the consequences until long after said consequences have already happened. This ties in with his thoughtlessness.  

Blunt/Thoughtless > He doesn’t intentionally do this for the most part, but the way he speaks can come off as blunt. He can say something in regards to another cat (ie. their skills or abilities that they aren’t good at) and comment on it, but the way he speaks and words things makes him sound like he’s being rude. He’s a bit obtuse when it comes to realizing how he said it so don’t expect him to correct himself unless he’s aggressively confronted in the moment.
