About
Twelve is a child who was quite literally grown in a lab. In Twelve's world, some children are born with elemental powers; however, this is incredibly rare and there are no known concrete genetic links to blame for the onset of elemental powers. As their name suggests, they are the twelfth child in a series of experimental children who were bred to find a way to consistently create powerful children. However, unlike their siblings, Twelve was born with inexplicable psychic powers unlike anything the world had seen up to that point. Much to Twelve's dismay, this made them the prime subject of all further studies.
Appearance
Twelve is a ferret who happens to be 12 years old. They are nonbinary and they have shiny purple eyes and hair. They are quite skinny and wears an anxious expression on their face most of the time.

Personality
Not seeing the outside world for most of their life, Twelve is an odd and quiet individual. They don't quite know how to conduct themselves in social situations and clam up around most adults. With Tomara's help, Twelve is able to open up more and experience things that they have missed out on during childhood. As they are allowed to grow, they find it easier to express joy and interests, such as their interest in things like video games, which they were unable to play prior to leaving the lab.
Tomara
Twelve's best friend on the "outside". Once Tomara learned of the conditions that Twelve has endured for so long, she insisted on them living with her. Tomara and Twelve have an extremely tight bond and Tomara will do all she can to stop anyone who tries to take Twelve back.
Rennie
The owner of the house that Twelve is staying in. Ren is a bit too young to be considered an adoptive mom, but that is definitely what she feels like to Twelve, who lacked a mother figure for their entire life.
Carrie
Rennie's girlfriend and by extension another adoptive mother figure for Twelve. She lives with Ren and she tries to help Twelve become more positive and upbeat, though she understands it's hard.
