Smith is the king of dad jokes, and will not hesitate to make one in any situation, bad or good. He uses this to his advantage in tearing down walls between people, and trying to de-escalate situations. Despite this, he also strives to be the most annoying person in the room, especially if it's filled with edgy children. He does this by using what he deems "cool, hip lingo", and "lit af dialogue."

Smith was at first, an angel. Now see, when you're an angel, you have to follow rules, set examples, keep people safe, and be the nicest, most morally correct one in the room. Standards are set high. If you step one foot out of line, you are punished for sin.

Smith hated this. His natural tendency to get himself into trouble and sarcastic sense of humor frequently got him into undesirable situations, and, as luck would have it, he accidentally took a step too far.

Apparently making dad jokes he learned as he oversaw a human weren't funny to the gods.

But, it's been thousands of years and Smith doesn't even remember how he lost his wings now. He's just a normal dude who has back problems. Sometimes, he sees things from beyond the mortal realm, but he can't interact. He can trick people, influence their descisions, but he can't help in the way an angel can. He's weak, tired, but at least he tries.
