"Not sayin' I'm ungrateful for what you've done, but you make one wrong move and your head'll go flying. Got it, brat?"

A man who has been used as a tool his whole life only to be discarded.

Hiroto is an incredible swordsman, and considers himself as one of the greatest with a sword alive. His inflated ego was shattered when realizing he had been played by the people he trusted and respected. Arrested for homocide and tortured for information, he manages to escape execution with the help of his friend now lover Yasuhiro. He developed extreme trust issues and PTSD. However, he is at peace and is happy now living with the one he loves.

Due to his trust issues, Hiroto has gone from being mischievous and boisterous to much more outwardly grumpy, brooding, and even cruel. However, he still has a soft, kind side that can be coaxed out of him. He tends to be a lot more emotionally vulnerable around Yasuhiro, the person he feels most comfortable around.

As a result of the training he recieved from the person he once saw as a second father, Hiroto has a strong connection to his blessing, and is able to morph to a half-feral state to increase his strength and kill people easily. He tries not to use this technique anymore, but he could end up losing control, morphing, and going on a rampage. This most often happens during flashbacks and nightmares due to PTSD, particularly on nights of the full moons, as it reminds him of the night he was tortured. At those times, Yasuhiro is usually there to hold Hiroto and comfort him, but there is no telling what will happen if anyone happens to heavily injure Yasuhiro on purpose.

History (subject to change!)

Hiroto was born in a tiny poor village in the continent of Aster. His father was a former soldier who quit, and was painfully aware of the current state of the government. Valuing his lifestyle but knowing that it could one day be destroyed by the empire, he taught Hiroto how to fight to kill with a sword. Hiroto, a foolish little boy, found joy in swordplay, looking up to famous swordsmen he read about as well as his father. Though rusty, he showed great potential as a swordsman. He recieved his blessing at about 5 years old, and he found it rather difficult to control.

One day, the day Hiroto's father feared came. Hiroto came back from a hunt to find his village razed to the ground, bodies littered everywhere. He rushed to his home to find his father dying. He told Hiroto to go to the attic and take the sword there, and run. The sword was a beautifully forged uchigatana, the sword his father used to use. As Hiroto grieved, a soldier came back to the village to check for stragglers. Overcome with rage and powered by his blessing, Hiroto drove his blade into the soldier and slashed him in half. The adrenaline Hiroto felt from his very first murder rushed through his body. His loss forgotten, Hiroto sheathed the sword and set off for the nearest town.

The Teacher

A skilled swordsman ventures into a small town, passing through to get to his destination. He hears a commotion in an alleyway and takes a peek. A thug have a young boy cornered, laughing and reaching for his face. Before the swordsman could make a move to help the boy, he hears a pained grunt, and a sword tip sticking out of his back. The boy then slashes the thug, killing him. The swordsman is disgusted by this violent and brutal display, but sees potential in this little boy. He steps into the alley, and the boy tenses. The swordsman offers to teach the boy the proper way of wielding a sword, and the boy becomes angry, attacking the man. The man easily beats the boy, with his sword against his neck. The boy, feeling respect for the elder, agrees to become the man's pupil in turn for having food and shelter.

The swordsman teaches the boy the basics and advanced techniques of swordplay. The boy, who is named Hiroto, catches on fast, although he isn't quite as bright when it comes to any other subject. Hiroto eventually becomes the man's best pupil, easily defeated swordsmen that are more experienced than him by using his immense strength. The man, taking note of this unnatural power, asks Hiroto what his blessing is, to which Hiroto confesses that he doesn't know. The man takes Hiroto to a very powerful priest, who confirms that Hiroto has been blessed by an exceptionally large wolf. The swordsman then sees potential in this blessing, teaching Hiroto about arcane magic and how to control and utilize his blessing's power.

Many years pass as Hiroto studies under this swordsman. He grows into a confident, boisterous young man who sees his sword skills as superior to others. He makes several friends, one of which is another young man around his age named Yasuhiro. The swordsman, seeing how much Hiroto has grown, decides it is time to finally put him to use.

The Beheader

The swordsman asks Hiroto to help his group, which is fighting against the government. Hiroto, eager to please his master and not very smart, agrees to take the job. He then made his very first kill since he had been taken in by the swordsman, and it excited him the same way as usual. He is paid well, and splurges it on parties and drinks. He is assigned more assassination jobs, and he eagerly accepts, and develops bad habits. Yasuhiro is concerned for Hiroto, knowing that his is only a means to an end.

Hiroto eventually becomes a legend, a terrifying figure that kills powerful supporters of the government and leaves a gory scene in his wake. The death count eventually becomes too much, and the government takes action.

Imprisonment

All things come to an end. During an assassination job, Hiroto and a few others he was working with are ambushed by soldiers. All members of the group who had been heavily involved in the killings are captured. Hiroto is tortured for information, but his loyalty to his master keeps him silent. Eventually, all the captured members are brought together for a trial. Hiroto sees that his master is among them, and feels relief, believing that his master will defend him. However, as if planned, his own master stares at him with cold eyes and states that he doesn't know who this man is, and the other members agreed. Hiroto's world shatters before him. The people he had worked with, the person that he respected most were all staring at him like he was a clump of dirt. Hiroto flies into a fit of rage, screaming at the people that he once trusted and believed in. The guards take him away, and torture him once again. This time, Hiroto tells them everything he knows. His execution is scheduled, and he is left in his cell, broken.

Outside, a man is quietly infiltrating the prison. Yasuhiro uses his feral form to sneak around, looking for Hiroto's weapons and cell. He knocks out the guard and opens the cell door, only to find Hiroto, hair turning silver, one arm broken and scars everywhere. Yasuhiro, horrified by what has happened to his friend, quickly helps Hiroto out of his cell and they make their escape.

Healing

Hiroto stares blankly into space as Yasuhiro dresses his wounds. He is not just physically hurt, but emotionally and mentally wounded as well. His experience being tortured has taken its toll, as well as his trust being broken. Even now, he isn't sure if he could even trust Yasuhiro. However, he couldn't forget how Yasuhiro had literally glowed in the dark prison cell, reaching his hand out with a gentle smile, filling Hiroto with hope. Yasuhiro has been feeding Hiroto and dressing his wounds for several days now, and Hiroto has barely spoken a word. He is no longer the loud and proud man he used to be.
