Atticus is a ball-joint doll brought to life by a fae witch known only as the Toymaker. He has a special job within the Toymaker’s walking workshop: when another doll gets a little too rebellious or emotional or tries to something foolish like running away, he is to catch them and bring them back, and to help with that, he has the handy ability to reach into people and dolls and pull out emotions in the form of darkly colored marbles. He himself feels virtually nothing and thinks only of his targets and his master. He’s also a hivemind, operating four other bodies (identical to his own, except they're faceless) to allow for more efficient capture.
He’ll refer to his victims as friends. He’s very much the sort of character to be soft spoken and use polite gentle language even when he’s saying something horrible. Atrocity doesn’t much register. He also tends to keep stolen emotions on his person, either in a pouch or in his pockets. Holding them is one of his few pleasures, like appreciating a bit of candy or a glitter jar.
Please don't forget the markings on his face!! They're very important and part of the magic that keeps him alive. They're runes, not just freckles.
