I'll tell you here and now that I am outright done with men thinking they have any divine right over me just because I spent one night blowing their minds. Put it down in writing that the leads of the Rats and the Guild were absolute disappointments and I still remain in search of someone worthy of my satisfactions!

Whom, whenst

Ayn Rand (RUS: Айн Рэнд | Ayn Rand | JP: アイン・ランド | Ain Rando) is a member of The Decay of Angels. She has had brief affiliations with most known groups, only some of whom remember her because of her ability. She has since declared herself the enemy of men who try to take advantage of her because of her appearance.

Appearance

Ayn is an average height woman with a slender build and hourglass figure. From regular training she's gained plenty of muscles in her arms and legs and she has become extremely flexible and supple. Her chest is around a D cup, but she keeps it in a sports bra as she is constantly moving and under her thick clothes the exact size cannot always be determined. Her face is heart shaped and noted to be stunningly beautiful. Ayn has a pointed nose and sharp high cheekbones that accentuate a mysterious beauty around her, with no visible birth marks or beauty spots. Her eyes are a soft lilac, and almond shaped, but area always staring piercingly at whoever she is looking at. Ayn also has very long platinum blonde hair that when loose reaches her buttocks. Preferring to keep it tidy, she ties it in a long braid down her left hand side with a purple ribbon to fix it in place. About her face Ayn has a long blonde side fringe that parts on the left and frames her face.

All of Ayn's clothing is designer, and she is a huge fan of fashion and looking her best. As such, almost all of her outfits are also all custom made and tailored to her body. She usually wears tight black lace underwear with a garter on her legs to which she has a knife attached. The knife is a long bladed throwing knife, silver and weighted to her hand, and she is never without it. On top of this she wears a pair of grey-blue stockings attached to the garter, and ankle high black boots topped with fur. The heels are four inch stilettos, with silver bladed tips that she keeps sharp just in case. Ayn also has a short blue dress with a high collar underneath, with pockets custom added into the lining for holding her personal items. This, however, is hidden by her coat. It has a blue collar, and a large side sash of black fur that crosses from her right shoulder to her left hip, and a purple sash belt around the middle, adorned with pearls and gold chains. The coat itself is a pale blue, but with a deeper marine blue lace pattern adorning the hem, middle and top of the skirt as well as the sleeves. It is also pleated neatly with long sleeves. On her hands, Ayn wears black gloves with fur trim and fur lining, and a black fur ushanka on her head.

Personality

Ayn keeps an air of mystery about herself at all times, keeping herself to herself and preferring to wipe people's memories of being with her after she is done with them rather than build any lasting relations with them. She is intelligent well beyond her years, with a broad knowledge in politics, philosophy, sociology and economics and a keen interest in debating others about the things she has read. Her confidence is unshakable and she loves getting the upper hand over people around her, and winning is always her ultimate goal. Though she has a soft voice and is polite and well-spoken, her "soft" appearances and beauty can be extremely deceiving. Ayn is always looking to come out on top of her situation, from debate to missions to everything. As such, there is no low that she will not stoop to in order to change things in her favour, including using her ability. Ayn can also be extremely ruthless when needs be, and will kill without question or hesitation. This is handy for her work in the Decay of Angels where she mostly takes on the dirty assassination work thanks to her ability.

Though she would never reveal it, Ayn does sometimes regret erasing some people out of her past, as she does tend to get more attached to those around her than she initially intends to. Though she tries to act emotionless and brush off the things that get to her on a personal level, it does hit her hard. Her job is lonely, and Ayn feels it, but she refuses to admit her own problems to anyone and prefers to keep any insecurities or potential weaknesses in her disposition completely locked away. As she works dangerously, she considers negative feelings to be something that could be used against her or killed because of her. To keep herself and those she cares about safe, she forces herself to be alone and chooses to run from potential connections rather than allow people to take the risk with her.

Ability

Kanji: アイン ランドは誰ですか?

Romaji: Ain rando wa daredesuka?

English: Who is Ayn Rand?

Russian: Кто такой Айн Рэнд?

Latinisation: Kto Takoi Ayn Rand?

Reference: Atlas Shrugged

Ability Classification: Supernatural

Appearance: Ayn’s ability does not appear to look like much, and no one who has seen it come into effect aside from Ayn herself has ever remembered what it looked like - for obvious reasons. When she activates it via touch, her fingertips will glow with a soft blue light that turns silver upon making contact with the person in question. There will be a flash, and when the light fades the person’s memory or memories will be gone. If affecting an area, then Ayn will surround herself in silver light, with glowing text that expands outwards until it reaches the limits of her ability’s reach. Everyone within this light will not remember Ayn’s presence.

Capability: Ayn’s ability allows her to erase the memories of her being in someone's life from them. This can be done either partially or entirely, allowing Ayn to totally manipulate what people know and remember of her at any given point. So much so, many people don't even know she even exists at all. Ayn simply radiates an area of effect around her, erasing her presence from anyone within it. Ayn can erase her presence from as many people as she wants at the same time and the memories she can erase can be as recent as mere seconds ago. Because of the large area of effect of her ability, many people assume she has some kind of invisibility ability as they never see her coming until she chooses to let them. This works heavily to Ayn's advantage because of her work as a spy and assassin for the Decay of Angels. Keeping herself erased from those around her, she is easily able to follow her targets to gather intel or take them out quickly and cleanly with no witnesses to potentially compromise her. She also maintains the lie that her ability is invisibility, so as to throw people off suspecting it to be anything more complex.

Limitations: She does not need to touch a person in order to erase her presence entirely from them, but if she wishes to be more specific in which memories she takes then she will need skin-to-skin contact. Usually she will touch them on the forehead when using her ability this way. She has a range of about 50 metres radius from her body that she can affect with her ability, allowing her to appear invisible to a wide area. However, the ability’s effects weaken the further out a person is from Ayn. Ayn is not able to modify or erase memories in people that do not relate to her presence in their lives, and she is usually only able to erase a person’s memory of seeing her if she does not know them well. The wider the net she casts in erasing her presence the longer it takes for her to completely erase memories from people.

Side Effects: Directly altering a person's memories of her by touch can also affect her own memories of them at the same time. At times, Ayn struggles to remember if the people she has encountered really did meet her, or if they were even in her life at all. The more she alters memories this way, the worse it affects her, causing her to suffer minor memory blackouts and wake up not knowing how she got somewhere. Furthermore, erasing the memories of someone who has been in her life for a long time, such as a Childhood Friend, can cause them to suffer significant mental and physical distress from the bad amnesia.

Ultimate Form: Ayn's ability does not appear to have any known ultimate form.

Background

Early Life

Ayn was born with the name Alisa Zinovievna Rosenbaum to an extremely wealthy family in St Petersburg, Russia. Her family raised her atheist, and gave her access to a wealth of music, arts, culture and languages from a young age in order to broaden her horizons. Through this, the young Ayn discovered her family's Jewish heritage, and chose to change her name from Rosenbaum to Rand, the family's original name. Furthermore, because of the popularity of her birth name in school, she decided to adopt a more unusual moniker "Ayn'' in order to stand out. Much of her childhood was marked by a strong desire to stand out as unique, and her name choices were only part of it. Ayn would also ensure her dress and hair stood out, acting eccentrically to garner as much interest and attention as she could. When asked why by her parents, who were concerned at how outlandish she was becoming, she simply explained that she did not want to be forgotten, and that something within her always worried that people would never recall who she was. Ayn liked to be seen and liked to be remembered, and her popularity throughout her schooling was something she savoured.

Ayn's parents encouraged her to be social, and they continued feeding her interests in order to get her to make new friends. It sparked a huge interest in politics in her, and Ayn was quickly the star of the school's debate team. She was a fierce talker and loved to get her opinion across, and her way with words and arguments quickly began winning her prizes for her efforts. But more than anything, Ayn enjoyed winning the events as it got her her moment where everyone knew who she was. She became popular, and soon garnered a whole group of friends around her to keep her company at school. Ayn was also popular among the teachers because of her hard work, and she would always try her best to keep on their good sides in order to ensure that they remembered her. No matter what, she could not shake the worry about being forgotten from her mind, and it caused her great anxiety inside. Since she was stubborn, however, she would never admit this anxiety to anyone - not even to her own parents. Instead, Ayn merely worked harder so that she could conquer her fears on her own. She felt she should always strive for independence, and not rely on anyone around her too heavily.

There was one exception, however. Ayn's best friend from early childhood, Vladimir Nabokov. Originally she had been brought around as a companion for Vladimir's younger sister Olga, but the two had spent a lot of time together from a young age and a friendship had quickly blossomed. Ayn would practice her debates on Vladimir, and took great delight in outdoing him time and again. But despite that the two got along well, seeing each other almost every day. The two matched each other intellectually, and would indulge in their own hobbies and in each other’s interests whenever they spent time together. Ayn trusted Vladimir implicitly, and it was to Vladimir that Ayn first confessed her anxiety about being forgotten to. She feared he would forget her too, but the two promised that they would always be together and never forget each other. They remained nearly inseparable, and Ayn would even have quietly admitted that her feelings for him were starting to deepen somewhat as the two of them got older.

Sadly, it did not last long.

Ability

In her teens, Ayn's ability manifested for the first time. Whilst at school, Ayn had an accident in front of a group of students and tripped over her own feet, spilling her books and pencils everywhere. It caused everyone to start laughing, much to Ayn's huge embarrassment. Shocked and upset, she found herself getting angry at being humiliated, and loudly demanded everyone shut up and forget what they just saw happen to her. Sure enough, her ability manifested and granted her that wish. All the students who witnessed her trip immediately forgot, much to Ayn's surprise. At first, she didn't realise what she had just caused, but after a few attempts at jogging people's memories of the event, she found they recalled nothing of it. Ayn couldn't have been happier to have the embarrassment wiped, but it brought her fears to reality. Now she finally understood why she feared being forgotten, because she was perfectly capable of having someone forget her entirely. With her ability, she could cease to exist to anyone and everyone she wanted to disappear from. Both an interesting and terrifying prospect.

However, this could cause much more harm than good. Ayn knew she may face serious repercussions for being an ability user in Russia, and so she kept her ability a closely guarded secret. The last thing that she wanted was to be captured by authorities and never seen again. She didn't even disclose it to Vladimir even though he was her best friend. Over time, their feelings were becoming more and more serious - and it only made Ayn even more motivated to keep her ability a secret so that she did not bring him into any danger either. She also didn't know how he would react to it, and Ayn was afraid that it would make him fear her or hate her.

Still, she took the time alongside her schoolwork to research abilities and other ability users, making the worrying discovery of the institutes in both Moscow and St Petersburg for those who were caught by the government. Unsure how best to keep herself safe, Ayn practiced her memory erasure on the general public, using it just enough to see its effects, but not enough (she hoped) to draw attention to herself. All the way through to high school and into university, Ayn managed to keep her ability under wraps whilst training herself to use it better. By the time she began her studies in politics at St Petersburg State University, she was an expert in cloaking herself with her ability and sneaking into places unseen and forgotten.

Leaving Russia

However, being in the University brought her closer to the eyes of the government, especially with her love of politics. So it wasn't long before her ability came to their attention and they came looking for her. Ayn was forced to confess to her parents that she was an ability user, and was worried that they would reject her because of it. Worst of all, she realised, if they did reject her she would need to erase their memories in order to run away and not be taken to an institution. The worry sent her into a panic attack, but thankfully her parents were accepting of her gift. In fact, they were more than prepared to take her to safety for it as well. They began making plans to leave Russia for the United States, and Ayn submitted a transfer of studies from St Petersburg to a college in New York instead. What was left to do was say goodbye to her best friend.

But Ayn knew it would be more than that.

Ayn knew for sure now that she had strong feelings toward Vladimir, but had never told him. She knew he would take the sudden move of her family hard, and it hurt her knowing that they would likely not see each other again. Added to this, Ayn worried he may become a potential target by the government because of her ability. As such, she knew what she had to do. Ayn and Vladimir arranged to meet, and for the first time she admitted her feelings to him entirely. Apologising for not telling him sooner. What was worse, she realised, Vladimir reciprocated those feelings and promised to write to her whilst they were apart. He was optimistic that they would be reunited one day, but Ayn knew she couldn't let that happen. She simply nodded, leaned in for a first and last kiss, and quietly wiped herself from all of his memories.

She had no idea how much this was going to utterly warp and change her former best friend, and left for America the next day without any knowledge of what was to become of him.

America

In the USA, Ayn took to American life and culture with ease and enjoyed her studies. The new university brought her new people to debate and win against and she took to any and all chances to argue wherever she could. The other students liked her, and any who didn't she simply made them forget that they met her, giving them infinite chances to learn to like her or leave her alone. She was also freer to use her ability however she liked and made the most of that opportunity as well. Ayn would have others around her forget she was there, so that she could sneak into meetings and lectures unnoticed and attend them. At first just at the university, and then as she grew more and more confident she began to attend lectures inside the government buildings and even inside the UN Headquarters itself. As a result, Ayn gained unprecedented access to information and plans that no one outside of those organisations should have, a huge stock of power unlike any other.

With so much information in her hands, it wasn't long before her ability reached the ears of interested parties. At first, Ayn was approached by Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald who wanted her to join The Guild, as she was not registered officially as an ability user with the United States government. Ayn was lovesick and homesick, knowing she'd lost her chance with Vladimir, and Fitzgerald was the first to approach her meaningfully in a long time. She played her cards with him, and even had a one night stand, but ultimately felt disappointed and guilty by the affair. She erased Fitzgerald's memories of meeting her, and left him.

The Decay of Angels

Ayn explored her options, deciding not to join the Guild and looking for others who might share her ideals and her unusual abilities. It took less time than she expected. Next to approach her was someone from her homeland, looking to recruit her. This time it was Fyodor Dostoevsky, wishing to recruit her into joining his Rats in the House of the Dead organisation. He too was someone looking for comfort, and Ayn was weak to the affection. They also had a one night stand, and Ayn was about to erase his memories when Fyodor mentioned that he felt her better suited to The Decay of Angels rather than just the Rats. That was enough to interest her, and as such she only erased Fyodor's memories of their one night stand, but kept herself in his head enough that he would allow her to join the Decay.

It took her a while to seek them out, but eventually Ayn found The Decay of Angels. Offering her services, she was quickly accepted in and trusted with assassinations and spying exercises - as her ability left no one able to claim they had witnessed her or any of her crimes. Impressed by her work, she quickly garnered respect within The Decay of Angels. It was also there that Ayn began to explore her sexuality more, and spent time with women more than she did men. It made her feel more comfortable, and she quickly settled herself as a more female inclined person when it came to romantic and sexual relations.

However, to her shock she also found herself running into her childhood friend Vladimir there as well. He seemed unable to recall her - which pleased Ayn as she had hoped it meant he had remained safe for at least a bit longer since she had been gone. But so much of him had changed. Ayn had no idea he was also an ability user - and his darker and more cruel personality scared her a little. Still, he struggled to remember her and Ayn could tell it was becoming an obsession of his to find out who she was. That hurt her, as it quickly dawned on her that he had been suffering a lot because of the amnesia she had induced on him. Concerned, Ayn chose to keep an eye on him from a distance whilst she worked on her own tasks within the Decay.

The Armed Detective Agency

Fukuzawa.png

Yukichi Fukuzawa

The Decay have their plans dear, I do advise all of you be prepared for that.

Bond: ❤❤❤♡♡

Ayn has kept a professional relationship with the head of the Armed Detective Agency, and the two do not have any previous history that would bring them into contention with one another. If anything, Ayn finds Fukuzawa to be one of the more tolerable leaders of all the ability-using factions in Yokohama. She remains neutral towards Fukuzawa, as she knows he does remember her for the moment - but he has yet to do anything that would warrant her making him forget her.

Dazai.png

Osamu Dazai

You are the reason I dislike being in the company of men.

Bond: ❤♡♡♡♡

Ayn tries to keep Dazai’s meetings with her at a minimum, as she absolutely dislikes being around him. She hates that he constantly tries to flirt with her whenever they are in the same room, and that he won’t ever stop poking his nose into business that isn’t his. Ayn knows that he is up to something long term - but has yet to work out exactly what it is he’s doing. She treats him with complete suspicion and mistrust because she knows that she cannot wipe his memories of her - something that frustrates her immensely as she would love to be rid of him.

Atsushi.png

Atsushi Nakajima

Run, tiger. Run away before it is too late for you.

Bond: ❤❤❤♡♡

Atsushi has only met Ayn once that he knows of, she has erased the earlier meetings between them from his memories. The one time he does know of, was when she tried to warn him about what was upcoming with the Decay of Angels. She knows that he is instrumental to the plans of many all across Yokohama, but doesn’t particularly feel bad about that. To Ayn, his part in the story is as tragic as everyone else’s roles and she won’t give him sympathy as, in her mind, it would mean she would have to sympathise for all ability users. That being said, she does want him to try and get away if he can.

The Port Mafia

Mori.png

Ōgai Mori

I see you are as vile as always.

Bond: ❤♡♡♡♡

To say that Ayn dislikes Mori is a big understatement. She finds him creepy and unsettling, and downright vile considering his interest in young girls. It has made her incredibly defensive when she is around him and she will take action to remove herself from his memories whenever possible so that she can keep his knowledge of her at an absolute minimum. Ayn hates his ability a lot as well, and will try to avoid Elise as much as possible. She and Mori have no sexual history together, thankfully, and Ayn has absolutely no intention of pursuing anything with the man ever.

Garth.png

Garth Nix

What on earth do you see in these people, Nix? Really?

Bond: ❤♡♡♡♡

Ayn and Garth have crossed paths a few times, but mostly only briefly because Ayn does her best to keep her interaction with the Port Mafia at a minimum. They get along badly, mostly because Garth is incredibly uncaring towards others and Ayn can sense that he views her merely as a tool for the Port Mafia - which she absolutely loathes. She also doesn’t know what Garth sees in Mori, and views their relationship with absolute disdain. Ayn has had the misfortune of being caught in Garth’s ability once, and she would not like to repeat the experience. Thankfully, Garth only has limited memories of her - which Ayn feels is necessary so that he does not try to gain advantage over her.

Tachihara.png

Michizō Tachihara

Hmph. Blown your cover yet?

Bond: ❤❤♡♡♡

Because of her position in the Decay of Angels, Ayn knows Tachihara’s true allegiance and motivations. She’s kept quiet about it, but is interested to see how it will develop in the long run. When Tachihara eventually reveals himself as the fifth member of The Hunting Dogs, she is pleased that she no longer has to tread lightly about the situation, as keeping it under wraps for so long was irritating her. However, she wouldn’t say that she and Tachihara get along well, however, as she finds him to be very immature and irrational.

The Guild

Fitz.png

Francis Fitzgerald

I am forever grateful he doesn't remember our encounter. I had no idea he was a married man...

Bond: ❤❤♡♡♡

Ayn has many regrets in life, and Fitzgerald is one of them. She had no idea he was married the night she and he slept together - but ever since she’s found out the truth she has been utterly bothered by it. Thankfully, she was able to erase his memories of her so he can live on without any regrets - and so that he can’t bring it up around her too. But Ayn cannot erase her own memories of it, and thus she still lives with that regret even now. She found Fitzgerald charming and kind, and she knows that he toyed with her fragile emotions at the time. She has since recovered and steeled herself against him - to the point where Fitzgerald actually wonders why she is so cold with him as he doesn’t have any idea why.

Hawthorne.png

Nathaniel Hawthorne

Poor man... Addled by religion first and the Demon Dostoevsky second.

Bond: ❤❤❤♡♡

Ayn briefly felt sympathy for Nathaniel, as his situation is a difficult one. She understands his desperation to help a loved one, but she also thinks that his choice to walk into a very dangerous ability user group was a very stupid one. That being said, she knows she cannot tell him that because he is too brainwashed to notice. Since Nathaniel is a religious man, Ayn has her reservations about him and his ideals as she’s a very atheist person. She thinks that Nathaniel has been taken advantage of multiple times over - by his faith and by the decisions his beliefs has led him to make, and that’s before getting to what Fyodor has done to him. Part of her wonders if he will escape his brainwashing, but she doesn’t care much either way.

The Rats in the House of the Dead

Fyodor.png

Fyodor Dostoevsky

I did a deal with the demon once, but only once. He doesn't remember it.

Bond: ❤♡♡♡♡

Unfortunately, Fyodor and Ayn cross paths very often, and she is not able to erase his memories every single time because of the nature of the work that they are doing together. She loathes that fact, and finds him deeply irritating and uncomfortable to be around. They have a past together, but Fyodor has no memories of it thankfully, as Ayn slept with him in a moment of weakness. She knows full well that Fyodor took advantage of her fragile emotions at the time, and hates that he did so. Since their work now forces them together often, she tries to remain civil - but Ayn absolutely will not divulge more than is absolutely necessary to him. Ayn is sure that he is plotting to get the upper hand over her and to find out her weaknesses, and she absolutely will not allow that to happen.

Mayakovsky.png

Vladimir Mayakovsky

There is enough cancer in a cigarette without adding your ability to it, Vladimir.

Bond: ❤❤♡♡♡

Ayn wouldn’t say she hates Vladimir, but she certainly doesn’t like him very much. Like many others, she finds him very grating and self-important - his huge ego is a lot to have to deal with and she would much prefer to avoid it wherever she can. Unfortunately. Vladimir tends to be around people she wishes to have contact with, which leads to more interactions with him than she would like. Ayn has very sternly threatened that should she find he is causing her hair to fall out she will kill him - and she takes that threat very seriously. At best, she will exchange cordial words with him upon their first meeting, but after that she happily goes back to ignoring him. Vladimir dislikes that, as he enjoys having attention on him.

The Decay of Angels

Kamui.png

Kamui

I physically could not respect you less, Fukuchi.

Bond: ♡♡♡♡♡

The unfortunate down side of joining The Decay of Angels is that it means taking orders from Fukuchi. Ayn utterly despises him and has absolutely no respect for him - especially knowing his past actions towards people she respects more than him. The bar was low and somehow he managed to disappoint her even harder than she could have predicted. As such, Ayn works hard to keep their interactions at the bare minimum. One day she hopes that he might meet a comeuppance for his behaviour - be that at the hands of his enemies or from the rest of his Hunting Dogs.

Gogol.png

Nikolai Gogol

You test my patience immensely...

Bond: ❤♡♡♡♡

Ayn would rather work with anyone else aside Gogol. His eccentric behaviour and insistence on making everything into a joke or game drives her insane from the idiocy of it all. She avoids him as much as she can, and in the rare moments where they are assigned together she will try to get it over and done with as quickly as possible so that she doesn’t have to be stuck with him for hours on end. Admittedly, she has erased people’s memories multiple times to get them to assign her to someone who isn’t Gogol wherever she can - and she’s pretty sure that he’s trying to get himself assigned to her as a way of winding her up.

Sigma.png

Sigma

I must say you've done a wonderful choice with the decor here dear!

Bond: ❤❤❤♡♡

Sigma and Ayn get along fairly well. She wouldn’t call them friends by any means, but she certainly doesn’t dislike the man. If anything, she feels a little bit bad about the fact that Sigma got thrown into the world from the book with no memories or purpose in life. Ayn has tried to help him find purpose - she was one of the ones to help him establish the Sky Casino and she is a regular visitor there to encourage him and support his work. She hopes that he one day finds himself, but doesn’t know what the answers to his questions might be.

150

Bram Stoker

Don't bring those bloodstained clothes near my coat dear, it's designer...

Bond: ❤❤♡♡♡

Admittedly, Ayn doesn’t know Stoker that well and she doesn’t have much interest in getting to know him either. She knows that he plays a role in the Decay of Angel’s plans - but since that plan is Kamui’s she has little interest in it. What she does care about, however, is the fact that he almost got her designer clothing bloody thanks to his dismembered body and she is very displeased about that. She would rather he came nowhere near her with his bloody body or with his ability.

Nabokov.png

Vladimir Nabokov

Vlad... Oh... Fuck me what have I done to you?

Bond: ❤❤❤❤♡

Ayn’s biggest regret in life is that she feels that she is very responsible for everything that Vladimir has become. She had no idea that erasing the memories of their childhood together would harm him so badly, but now she wishes she could correct her mistakes. She is the only person to refer to the man affectionately as “Vlad” - but even then she feels frightened of her former friend. She hopes that he doesn’t ever fully remember what she did to him - as she fears it may make him kill or torture her in revenge for it. Though he still refers to her by her childhood name, and tries to be affectionate, Ayn won’t deny she’s uncertain if they can ever repair their relations again. Vladimir has changed so much, as has she, and she knows that they are now very different people. Her previous feelings for him are gone, but she still deeply cares for him.

Sophia.png

Sophia Parnok

At least your company is very welcomed, my dear.

Bond: ❤❤❤❤♡

Sophia and Ayn are close friends, and Ayn trusts her with a lot more than she has trusted anyone else with. The two can often be found spending time together talking and drinking wine at the Sky Casino and whilst out and about. Ayn would say that Sophia is a close friend of hers - though admittedly her feelings towards the woman have definitely started to deepen the longer that they have been this close. Ayn knows that Sophia is very into women, and would probably be into her if she just found the moment to bring the subject up about it - but sadly they have both just been too busy for Ayn to find the right chance to say how she feels. That being said, she still appreciates how supportive and kind of a friend Sophia is.

Misha.png

Mikhail Bulgakov

Looking lovely as always, dear.

Bond: ❤❤❤❤♡

Ayn and Mikhail get along well, and Ayn has often gone to see her friend’s performances as support and to enjoy the show. She knows that they enjoy what they do, and even if she doesn’t fully understand it she will always completely support them. That being said, she doesn’t understand their interest in dating Nikolai Gogol - but Ayn has put it down to the fact that everyone has to have one flaw. The two of them get along well, and can sometimes be found socialising outside of work as well.

Chekhov.png

Anton Chekhov

Just don't forget who you are inside. No matter how much your appearance changes

Bond: ❤❤❤♡♡

Admittedly, Ayn would say that she doesn’t know Chekhov all that well. He is almost as elusive as she is when it comes to ability users - and she completely respects that. She does know that he interacts with Nabokov a lot, and that makes her worry for him more than Nabokov - as she knows what her former friend is like now. Where she can, she tries to keep an eye on Chekhov - but the two are actually very good at unintentionally avoiding one another.

Independent

Shibusawa.png

Tatsuhiko Shibusawa

So you are what Vlad obsesses over... I am displeased.

Bond: ❤❤♡♡♡

Given what Shibusawa is to her former friend, Ayn is incredibly cautious around him. She knows full well that he was involved in testing and experiments on ability users and that fact scares her - as she never wants to go through such procedures herself. Ayn is somewhat grateful that the man is dead - but she knows that his death has only fuelled and worsened Nabokov’s obsession with him and made things worse in the long run for them both. In a way, she wishes to end Shibusawa in both physical and memory form so that her friend might be free - but she fears that that is likely impossible for her to do.
