Biography

Soar was born as one of the smallest mobians in Aerolusia and his health being at risk after his mother, Zephyr, being told that granting him powers could be fatal. Soar was one of the rare mobians that was born without powers but that didn’t stop his mother. Shortly after he was born, Zephyr and Soar’s biological father, Sirocco, got into a big argument over the own health of their baby. Sirocco wanting to raise Soar the way he is while Zephyr refusing and wanting to bless him with powers so Soar wouldn’t be the oddball. The two of them decided to wait until he aged better for him to receive his powers in case something did happen. Zephyr promised the gods that if Soar were granted powers she would assure that he would be the best tribial in their homeland. When Soar turned 4, the Cloud God, Nimbus, gave him his powers with the promise of his mother that he would be the best around. Upon giving him powers, he was also granted immortality and the promise of being the new God of the Wind if he fulfilled his promise. Of course this didn’t exactly prevent the bullying of the other students in his tribial since he was still rather small for his age and other mobians. He also had a higher intelligence than most mobians so he was the main target. Soar disliked this type of pressure he was put into along with his mother continuously trying to get Soar to be something he didn’t want to. At the time, Soar was 12 and he visited his grandfather, Gregale or Greg for short, a lot of times to hear about his story of being a pilot. He wasn’t like most mobians where he wanted to be a true tribial and control the weather since he had different motives. Soar found influence in his choices and wanted to be just like him and wanted Greg to show him his model planes. This is when Soar decided he wanted to be a pilot instead for he hadn’t really learned his powers properly anyway. Things became more rocky between Soar and his mother since she knew her promise to Nimbus was backfiring quickly. If Soar didn’t pick up his training quickly he’d have to be banished. When the young hedgehog turned 16, the relationship between him and his mother quickly fell off. Sirocco went missing and Soar was worried for his father not seeing him for months. Zephyr told Soar that he went off on a journey and got killed tragically on earth. It upset Soar that his own father left without telling him but he supposed it was for the best really. Zephyr put more pressure on the small hedgehog so his training would catch up with the others but Soar refused to listen. He decided that being a tribial was not something he wanted to be anymore since people only found an opportunity to pick on him and make him feel weak. Zephyr refused to let him believe that being a pilot was his motive and put even more hard training on the small hog. Soar hated his mother for a while for making him do something that he wasn’t and ran away to his grandfather. It was only on that day when Soar found out that his grandfather had actually passed away and wasn’t there no longer. He left behind his belongings to Soar which was some blueprints for a model plane and a few inventions he had planned to create with Soar before he passed. Soar grew depressed and wanted nothing to do with his mother since he felt she prevented him from the things he loved the most. After Soar turned 17, things got worse. His training was incomplete and he was forced to be banished from Aerolusia until further notice for not following orders. His mother was upset by this but she figured maybe it was for the best if Soar was to be banished down to earth since he was too different anyway. Soar was sent down to earth in Apotos and was homeless for a few months, trying his best to fit in with everyone and find shelter but humans found him to be strange since he was only a mobian. Only a good few of humans helped him with food and other things but it was still struggling since he didn’t have a home. After months of desperate need, a young porcupine named Flint found Soar washed on the beach after a good swim in the ocean. He decided to take Soar in for the time being until he was able to attend to himself. The two became best friends after a while and Soar was able to make his own home from scratch with the help of Flint. After some time, Soar ran out for supplies in a storm where he found his sidekick, Aero, left behind in her mother’s nest. She instantly became imprinted on Soar after mistaking his chest fluff for her mother. Things became better for Soar afterwards when he became more well known in Apotos for his advanced technology in making things for people and making money off said things. Soar still struggles to know the truth about his father and only hopes one day he will know. He now resides in Apotos and helps people there while also living his dream of being a great pilot!

Family

Zephyr The Hedgehog (Mother)

Zephyr is Soar's biological mother. She and Soar have a rocky relationship after he realizes that he does not want to have the same beliefs as her. At birth, Zephyr promised Nimbus that Soar would be the best tribial out of them all if he blessed him with powers. Because of this, their relationship fell apart after Soar found out that his mother forcibly pushed her beliefs on him and made a promise he knew he wasn't going to fulfill and also got him kicked out of his own homeland. After Soar's banishment, Zehpyr set out to find her son after soon being kicked out of Aerolusia for having Soar's father, Rocco, kidnapped.

Sirocco The Hedgehog (Father)

Sirocco, or Rocco for short, is Soar's biological father. He and Soar don't have much of a relationship because he mysteriously disappeared after disagreeing with Zephyr's demands and beliefs. Sirocco wanted his son to do what he pleased and was afraid of the consequences that would come with Soar for being forced with a power he wasn't born with. Zephyr refused to listen and went behind his back instead which caused their relationship to collapse and soon enough, causing Zephyr to have him kidnapped so she could freely train Soar in being the best tribial in Aerolusia and also, the new leader.

Aero The Flickey

Aero is Soar's pet flickey who Soar saved during a bad storm after being left behind by her mother. Aero was only a baby when the two of them encountered each other and she became imprinted on the hedgehog after mistaking Soar's chest fluff for her mother. The two of them quickly bonded and became best of friends realizing they both were left behind.

Strider The Hedgehog (Older Brother)

Strider, or Stride, is Soar's older brother. Stride and Soar have a decent relationship although, they weren't able to fully develop their relationship due to Soar being distant with his family. Stride believes that Soar should be happy and do what he wants but his mother thinks otherwise. Stride and his mother have a closer bond and he is afraid to break it considering he wants to make her happy.

Personality

Soar is currently living in Apotos with his sidekick, Aero! The two of them usually like to venture out and find new places and things to explore while Soar also works on his big projects including a spaceship he hopefully plans on taking into space in the near future. Soar loves the attention he gets from other mobians and humans. His ego gets boosted every time he gets a compliment from someone who someone praises him. It can sometimes be annoying but deep down he has good intentions. He keeps this attitude to hide his true feelings and sadness towards things even if it means being annoying towards others. Soar has a terrible relationship when it comes to males since his whole childhood, he was bullied by them. Although when it comes to females, he finds them easier to communicate with and also easier to use his charm to becomes friends with them. 

A lot of times, it's hard to befriend Soar because of his huge ego and narcissism but he's not always this way. Sometimes when he realizes he's hurt someone personally, he tries his best to apologize and make them feel better. Soar isn't always mean considering he was bullied himself but he wants to insert his dominance somehow! Soar doesn't take threats too well and actually becomes more heated when someone decides in doing so. For being a small and short hog he has a very bad temper and does not listen too well. When Soar gets nervous or angry, he develops a southern accent he can't help but express. He's terrible at lying but good at using his charm to trick people into his schemes.
