When Masozi lets someone into his life he takes interest in them and their successes. He likes to see people succeed and while he may not go out of his way constantly he will do his best to help a friend better themselves. if he cares about you, he wants you to succeed. He is someone who often tries to look at a problem from all perspectives and it's helped him greatly in his dealings with others, he can display great empathy at times. It also makes him to some degree a smooth talker, he'll get someone's favor and then use that to his benefit. He can be empathetic but he can use that empathy to support you or to know just where to strike. In his old fleet Masozi garnered respect for his tall tales, charm, and level headed perspective and fairness in a leadership role.
Masozi Vitor is not the typical barbarian the word pirate conjures up upon introduction, he's very cordial and isn't prone to needless violence, but he is far from a man of class. He enjoys the particular revelry and misconduct that comes with his trade. Masozi is beneath it all a cutthroat and its important to remember that behind a the man who will take the podium and preach a more peaceful resolution is also someone who won't even bat an eye at skewering an aggressor. What he says and what he might do are two completely separate things. Masozi can put on the act of congeniality but he's been in the pirate game for a long time. His loyalties lie with gold and the winds and is not overly fond of any authority.
History:
As a young man of lower class Masozi Vitor took to sailing because quite frankly when you’re able bodied and live on the coast there’s not much else for you. One thing led to another and that thing was piracy. There’s good money in seaborn theft and a certain thrill to outsailing the navy, Masozi became a quite skilled buccaneer simply by merit of surviving the misadventures of his youth. He was however a smallfry seafarer until he joined up with Czerno, a cutthroat with big ideas.
Many years later those big ideas would become a small but fierce pirate fleet known to harass the western coast by pillaging or supporting illegal trade. When illegal trade turned towards Laguz trafficking Masozi cut ties, drawing a line at harming another's physical well being and freedom even if it were Laguz. This did not sit well with Czerno who was now the admiral of the fleet and who had seen Masozi as one of his most trusted and valued captains for his command and skill in a fight. Masozi took a ship that was not his own and Czerno took action accordingly.
Retaliation for this betrayal was violent and though he escaped Masozi’s ship the Aetos Dios is no longer in sailing shape and is docked in a protected cove. So Masozi is on his own, no longer has his old fleet's deep pockets to fund repairs or crewman’s wages, which means at the present he’s looking for work as a sellsword (or axe in this case) and a business partner willing to invest in the ship repairs and look past his rather unpleasant resume for a joint venture.

-His significant other is named Ibra, they have a child together named Celio. He's 2 at the present.
-Most of the Aetos Dios' crew has left for monetary reasons. His quartermaster Basim and Harrier Floris are currently guarding and working on the ship while Masozi seeks out funds.
