Abilities

General: Nergui was originally programmed to be a personal service omnic. Not quite a butler, closer to a maid or general hired help. However, he's developed remarkable artistic talents. He can adapt to any medium, and can emulate styles of other artists. But, he prefers to experiment and find his own style. His favorite focus is life-drawing.
Martial: Absolutely none. He usually has an exacto knife somewhere on his person, but that's about it.

Status

Role: Freelance artist, recently employed by Recall Overwatch to help create their press materials.
Status: Living with Cali, travels often to accomodate Cali's work, but also to explore this new, curious world.
History: Nergui was one of the last batch of non-fighting Omnics put out by the London Omnium before its deactivation. At first, he behaved as per his programming, attempting to get jobs in hospitality. But, as the artistic deviation in his programming became more and more apparrent, the anti-Omnic sentiment in London made it nearly impossible for him to find work. Nergui fled the country with several other omnic refugees, only to end up homeless and alone in the United States. Though the States are a much better option than the hostile anti-omnic United Kingdom, Nergui was with little contact with others beyond social media and spent a few months traveling between omnic hostels in the States before his online friends pointed him toward someone willing to take him in: a programmer named Cali.

Truth was, he ended up in the home of Cali Boyle. Not just a good samaritan, but the alter ego of hacktivist Lucidus. For a time, Cali sheltered him from this knowledge, but as their friendship grew and Cali realized that Nergui wasn't just another refugee she'd keep safe until he got on his own two feet, Cali began to rope him in on her reality. Nergui, though happy with Cali's selfless and heroic actions, wasn't particularly interested in contributing beyond being a supportive influence in her life, and a travelling companion when need be. Until Overwatch recruited her. With Overwatch, they were both soon in over their heads. Cali was ecstatic but Nergui was quite easily overwhelmed. So many new faces, fights breaking out incredibly often, his safe and calm life was suddenly neither safe nor calm.

It's hard to say who first came up with the idea, but during one extended stay at Recall Overwatch's new Headquarters in Gibraltr, someone commissioned Nergui to make a portrait of the Old Guard of Overwatch. One portrait led to Nergui suddenly being in control of Overwatch's new material production. Making press releases look presentable, creating operational guides and general documentation, designing new signage and working with agents on uniform recreations. Nergui never, in his entire life, thought that his artistic deviation would lead him to Overwatch. But, he's happy about it.

NOTES

• Overwatch Notes: Role: NPC. In the Watchpoint Gibraltr map, he can occasionally be spotted on security cam feeds putting up a new poster or re-painting signage. There are roaming paint buckets/poster supplies that can be stumbled upon on the actual route because of him.
